Tibb dentists

So I have a lose aching tooth and have no chance of seeing a dentist (I'm not an illegal immigrant, I'm British born and bread)

The bastard won't come out no matter how many times I shake it.

Any constructive advice?

That means I'll have to wait for fruit shop to open tomorrow. I want to sleep tonight and can't with this dull aching pain.

Pain killers or pull it with pliers

I went with whiskey before painkillers. So I'M frightened to take a couple of paracetamol now incase I overdose in my sleep. I've heard Whisky and paracetamol don't mix

Alf 12-04-2023 04:15 AM

I was told to ring 111. I tried that and was told that I was number 36 in the queue.

If that queue went down 1 every two minutes I'd be waiting on the phone for over an hour.

Alf 12-04-2023 04:17 AM

Of any of you continue to vote Tory or Labour then you are my enemies.

They trying to kill us.

Alf 12-04-2023 04:21 AM

My mother, tried for an opportunity to get a doctors appointment and was finally sent to a practice far away, when she got there it was full of foreigners who didn't speak a word of English in the waiting room. That's her rewards for working all her life and paying into the system with the taxes they took off her. And if she complains about it she's a bigot.

If you ask me "a bigot" is a noble position to be these days.

try 111 now Alf, I cant recall ever going on there and having to wait in a queue, maybe it is a night time thing

also call your own dentist as they will have emergency appointments

I don't have a dentist. I haven't been to the dentist since I was a kid over 30 years ago. By the time I get an appointment I think I will have got the tooth out myself. Its hanging by a thread right now. A bit more work and it will pop out.

They're not taking people on unless they've got big money to spend. I don't have money to spend. Lots of UK people have been going to Turkey to see a dentist. It's all changed since Covid.

My dentist wanted me to wait 28 days to have a tooth out

Luckily a friends wife is a dentist and she managed to fill it for me after hours.

Not being funny but if you get into a regular routine and go to the dentist every six months you wont have these issues!

My dentist is NHS and is still taking on new patients

I have better things to spend my money on than dentists. They cost a fortune I'd rather have the bit of pain until I remove it myself than chuck over £100 away to them who will do a minutes work.

If I was an illegal immigrant I'd probably get it done for free.

You are forgetting covid

It’s still killing people due to delays in treatment

You should still sign up.
A check up won't cost you anything.

I have a dentist

James 12-04-2023 09:24 AM

You could try rinsing it with salted water, even after it comes out.

I had toothache over Easter. I took 2 paracetamols and put a temporary filling on the tooth and the pain has gone for now, as long as I don't bite on it. I tried Vanilla extract, cloves and garlic might help also.

I've got an appointment with the dentist now.

I went into the emergency dentist yesterday. It was totally empty, not one person in sight. Then the receptionist came out from the back so I asked if I could get any help and all she said was that I had to ring 111. I asked her how long it would take to be seen after ringing them and she told me 48 hours at least.

Emergency my arse

We are talking about dentists, once you get back in to the dental system which has been back to normal for over a year now now you book an appointment for six months time for a check up

Cherie we live on the edge, 6 months appointments are for old people

rusticgal 12-04-2023 10:41 AM

Its hard to find an NHS dentist in my area but get yourself on a list when and where you can.
I think 6 month check-ups are not necessary...I just go once a year.

Atrocious posts

Man up and take it out yourself then. Simple.
