Is your bank closing down?

I got a letter a couple of weeks ago letting me know that my local bank is about to close down.

The deep state has put us in this position and they are gonna turn everything over to digital currency where they control our (the slaves finances)

Thankfully The Don has them checkmated.

One day you will thank Trump for doing what he did for us people.

But they tell you in your letter
the other bank you can go to.

So do not Edit,
what they sent you, Alf.

it has already closed ages ago

The other bank is a bus ride away.

I do have a cash machine close by but if ever I want to go into the bank it's gonna be a hike.

The World has gone to sh1t since they stole the election from Trump.

OK
so there is another bank,
but it is a bus ride away.

Trump has nothing to do with this.

people just don't use banks the way they used to so there is much less demand for them. The banks are supposed to operate a share service where the remaining bank also handles the customers of any bank that has closed. If there is no bank, then the post office assumes the responsibility.

When I first started banking, i was on first name terms with the bank manager, and he always dealt with me personally. How times change

When i opened my first account I had to go and see the manager just to get a new account underway.

People are using online banking and not using cash and that is the reason for the closure, can I ask when is the last time you visited a branch Alf, because I cant recall the last time I did, I do everything online so we have ourselves to blame for closures

Last month and I'll be going in again soon before it shuts. I got a new phone and have forgot my login in details to get into my online account, so I need their help setting me back up.

I'm still close to my bank.
They are shutting branches in the area.

I don't need to actually go into the bank for much but like the option to.
However as I'm pretty close to the city, a branch is on hand.

I'm careful what and how much I do online.
I check everything rigidly.
I've found issues for myself online and I've lost count of the people who have had even major problems with online financial matters.

I personally don't see the need for the Banks across the board to be closing so many of their branches
Even moreso in areas well away from a main city.
For me it amounts more likely to the Banks greed, not need.

Yes, closing.

i paid in a cheque the other day via my banking app. Just took a pic of the cheque and uploaded it

I do basically all of my money stuff through Revolut these days. I get paid into my "real" old fashioned account and my direct debits come out of that account, so on pay day I just leave in enough to cover those and punt the rest onto Revolut :umm2:. Use virtual cards for pretty much everything, especially online. Very handy. I do have a physical card with them though, and that's literally ONLY because of the number of bloody petrol stations these days that have no kiosk but don't take contactless at the pumps :fist:. So we keep a physical card in the car - else you could get stuck unable to get fuel :oh:.

Morrisons have contactless pumps now though so I assume they'll all be going that way soon enough :hee:.

I did give someone 8 grand in a Tesco shopping bag the other day and told him every little helps

But a very nice Albanian man came to me the other day to pay for a van
Reached in his van lifted his strong box on to the seat opened it and it had all these rows of cash

The powers that be want to make it a cashless society for obvious reasons

Not so much that as closing-times changing. Some close as early as 3 these days.
