Meat is crucial for human health

Scientists have called for zealots to stop pushing vegetarian and vegan diets on
to people, warning that meat is crucial for a healthy lifestyle.

Almost 1,000 academics from leading universities across the world have signed
an initiative which argues that livestock farming is too important to 'become the
victim of zealotry'.

Researchers found, however, that it is hard to replicate the nutritional content
of meat.

It added that those who live in poorer communities and have a low meat
intake often suffer from a number of nutrient-deficient diseases such as
stunted growth, wasting and anaemia

Really agree with this. I'm on the Keto diet which is based almost entirely on meat. No carbs.

Meat, Veg & Fruit are all extremely good for you in moderation.

I'm really good at eating Meat and Veg, but I could probably do better with Fruit, minus Tomatoes as I do eat that regularly tbf.

Personally I'd dispute this.
I'm a vegetarian and don't feel any different, in fact I maybe feel better both physically and mentally after becoming vegetarian.

I know many vegetarians and they have no major health issues.

I'm sorry but I don't believe meat is crucial for human health at all.
Certainly I'm out of all step on this one but really very proud and glad I am.

It's not crucial but a lot of veggies/vegans accidentally neglect certain food types and it's easier to end up with deficiencies in various vitamins, iron, protein etc.

People going vegan have to "do it right" and actually look into what they need to incorporate into their diet in order to get enough of everything. It's not as simple as just "not eating animal products".
