Is it morally right for Camilla to be known as The Queen?
Poll incoming.
|
Yes because that is how the system works, she will never be THE Queen though

No and I'll never refer to her as such.
|
I'm choosing to concentrate on King Charles. He was always going to be king, as the son of the late queen Elisabeth.
But Camilla is not my queen, never will be. |
I have a lot of love for Diana still, and also Kate, but I don't think either of them should or should have been known as the Queen either. They are consorts.
|
Well yes because she literally is.
Queen Consorts are queens. |
I like Duchess Kate, I think she's wonderful.
She does remind me of Diana in many ways. I think she would be very proud of her. |
Absolutely, it’s great for all women that she and those that come after her will be known as queens
The more women as treated as equals the better the world will be |

I would just like to re-iterate what i said on this subject previously. I don't need to call either Charles or Camilla anything. I think terms like king, queen and their majesties have no place in today's society. I'm never going to meet them personally so it's never going to be an issue for me. What anyone else chooses to call them is up to them, but count me out from showing them any respect other than as fellow human beings
I wouldn't call Sunak Prime Minister either. The only one I will ever think of using, is your honour to a judge, as it would go a long way to keeping me out of jail  |
Camilla isn’t queen.
To be annoyed that Kate will be is peculiar and extremely dumb. She is married to the heir. She will be queen. And if William dies, she will be queen mother. I can understand the dislike of camilla but as boring and unremarkable as Kate is, she will be queen. |
Yes, it is.
Seems strange to me that we're having this discussion on other people's morality. Who will judge this? Whose morals are so intact that they can judge? Not me.... |
The question is, is it morally right.
The only answer can be really is yes. Morally, legally and constitutionally right. Because it is the new King's decision to make and he has. Personal feelings for or against are immaterial. So yes it's morally right. |
Im not bothered either way,I do feel a bit sorry for her though, some of the names she gets called are awfully unkind, I kind of warmed to her when she was a good friend of Paul O Gradys and is an ambassador for battersby dogs home and have seen that she is a very kind lady,I loved Diana too,but she has gone we cant change the past and as Ive said before just because someone is beautiful doesnt not make them someone who can do no wrong , behind closed doors and all that
|
She is the Queen as she is married to the King.
In the same way Diana would have been and that Kate will be one day. |

I was thinking about that this morning....its like a Pack of Cards where the King is higher than the Queen... It needs to change for the sake of equality.....but where does that leave us when we play cards... |

how would chess work if the king and queen were equal

And who are you referring to as peculiar and dumb? I never said I was annoyed Kate will be Queen. I like her. I just disagree in general, I think the wives or husbands of the Monarchs should just be Consorts. Full stop. |
