Drownings 2023 , Devon coast/ Cleethorpes (15 year old girl)/5 year old boy

Starting early.

[Two young men whose lives were claimed
off the Devon coast are among a number of
drowning victims this Bank Holiday,
as sunseekers have flocked to
Britain's beaches and rivers
amid unseasonably warm weather.
The two men in their 20s died after being
rescued from the water off
Oddicombe, Torbay, yesterday morning,
Devon and Cornwall Police said.

The Coastguard and police rushed
to the scene at around 9am and pulled
the men from the water,
with one tragically declared dead
at the scene while the other
man died in hospital.]

2 young men Drowned off the Devon coast

Loads of the teenagers / young men do that crazy “ tombstoning”‘ down Devon and Cornwall way - where they compete against other lads to do the fanciest jump or five off the harbour walls ..

We saw one youngster fall onto the concrete steps as he miscalculated .
It was horrific to witness

The problem with young people is they think they're immortal.

It's only when you get a bit older and you've had some minor accidents, you realise that minor accident could have been very serious.

It's then you take a step back and think, 'wow, I was lucky. I'll know next time.'
