Sunday 2.0 or Monday?
Sunday morning is the epitome of weekend relaxation (whether you’re in church, sleeping off your hangover or having a Costa pick-me-up) but few will deny that as the day goes on relaxation turns into more and more into boredom and the eventual Sunday-blues/pre.-Monday … y’know … eventually kills all the contentment/fun of the weekend. Do you spend your time this side of the week low-key wishing for Monday to come and go so that things can get kick-started and moving again or do you still dread it more than Sunday evenings?

Not for me. I work on Sunday :bawling:

I love Sundays, always feels like a nice vibe. I've definitely made the mistake many times of drinking far too much on a Sunday afternoon right through to evening which makes Monday horrendous but feel like I am wiser now and can restrict myself to either just a couple in the afternoon or a couple in the evening to have no ill effects next day.
Sunday evenings are often quite good for sport with either NFL or golf so that's a bonus as well |
That 24 hours between 17.00 on Sunday and 17.00 on Monday is probably my least-favourite time of the week. I know that much. Sunday 2.0s are marginally better most of the time (all dread for the upcoming week aside) but if it’s a case of you actually having cause to be excited about the week ahead and having a lousy weekend, the last part of a Sunday can be an unbearable drag. And when you’re in that mood being invited out on a Sunday doesn’t help because you just won’t be in the mood.

I work on a Sunday if I have no football or children stuff. Today me and the dog worked 9 till 6 or so. Nice and peaceful with radio/YouTube and Canadian golf open on. I could practice putting in the living room every now then when I needed a break. :hee:

It's not something I've ever experienced... Used to work a job I hated but I worked every weekend/shift pattern so weekends meant nothing. Now I'm 9-5 Mon-Fri but I'm one of those annoying weirdos who likes their job/has no external pressure so I don't really dread the weekend ending often .
School holidays are especially great because there's no school-slog. I start at 9, so set my alarm for 8.58 and then say "hullo" on Teams before I even roll out of bed :joker:. |
I like Sunday afternoons/evenings, they're usually lazy with a take away and film

One good thing about Mondays is the way T.V. comes back to life. The lack of decent things to watch on a Sunday (and I’m not someone who’s madly into Netflix) puts even more of a downer on the day. It’s alright when you’re having a nice Sunday but if you’re not, being bored out of your skull might-well be on the cards.
