Where is the guys Knighthood?
 

Seb Coe has a Knighthood (that's fair enough)
Denise Lewis has a Damehood (very lucky to)
Kelly Holmes has a Damehood (I can just about accept that one)
Jessica Ennis has a Damehood (I agree with that one)
Mo Farah has a Knighthood (Goes without saying, he's the greatest British athlete of all time)

Where is Daley Thompson's Knighthood?

He achieved more in the Decathlon than Jessica Ennis did in the Heptathlon?

He won two Olympic Gold Medals, and a World Championship Gold and also broke the World record a few times.

He's only a CBE. The guy needs an upgrade in my opinion. He's the second greatest British athlete of all time behind Mo Farah.

We need the, Sir Daley Thompson campaign starting.

If he has achieved so much in Sport then I agree with you that he deserves a Knighthood.

Also how was Denise Lewis, who only won one Olympic Gold, made a Dame, yet Sally Gunnell, who won an Olympic Gold, a World championship Gold and broke a World record, not?

Labour handing out gongs for mediocre achievements.

Maggie Thatcher wants shooting for not giving Daley the top gong and John Major wants shooting for not giving Sally one.

World Athletics championships this Summer.

You're all too obsessed with football and need to take a some time away from it and appreciate that other sports exist.

Next summer you will not have time off because the European football championships will.be on. This is your opportunity for a bit of time out. My advise is, take it.

Everyone loved him .. natural hero .. larger than life personality … yet I’ve not seen or heard of him in decades !?

Denise Lewis was given it for not only her success but how she has helped sport in the West Midlands after her retirement and her instrumental part in hosting a last minute Commonwealth games in Birmingham which was a huge success

His remarks about having babies with pricess anne at the time of the LA olympics probably was the cause, especially when her marriage was in a state..

He also disrespected the national anthem by whistling along on the winners podium. Hes got a cbe though.

Well Daley Thompson is like the male version of her. Only Daley Thompson won two Olympic Gold medal, whereas Dafne Schippers won none.

In those days it was rare for sportsmen to get Knighthoods.

It's only recently they have been handing them out more often.
