The Beatles are probably still the most mentioned pop band in the history of music. They are timeless. Im not a huge fan or anything, but all generations have heard of The Beatles. They are Micheal Jackson tier when it comes to pop culture.

Sarah Michelle Geller was the first to pop into my head. She was everywhere in the late 90's/early 00's.

well the question was that young people wouldn't have heard of now, I took that to mean that we had to think of a celebrity (which he was regardless if absolutely everyone knew him back then or not) that wasn't so famous that people would know him now. I also never heard of Josy Lawrence FYI. The vast majority of teenagers in the 90's would have at least heard of the TV Show Blossom btw if not watched it, plus he was a regular in teenage magazines back then
