Informing the housemates of the other £100,000

So do you think there should come a point in the show when the housemates (some or all of them) are informed about the £100,000 prize?

Please give your reasons why.

Matt 07-07-2007 11:35 PM

No. They should only find out on final night.

Makes it more exciting.

SiMoN! 07-07-2007 11:37 PM

dont tell them because then it will be good to see who the react on the final night

nodisharmony 07-07-2007 11:38 PM

NO, don't tell them at all:nono:

I would really like them to be re-reminded, that there is NO prize whatsoever, perhaps a week before the show is to end and introduce another twist.

The week of disappointments or something.

Aren't I cruel

Tell them at the final nominations. That might spice things up.

Mike 07-07-2007 11:39 PM

Tell them sometime soon that way the game will be on again and people are bound to start looking at things differently i.e who they nominate and potential threats to them personally.

BigSister 07-07-2007 11:39 PM

Either in the final week or on the final night I think

Wildcat! 07-07-2007 11:40 PM

I wish they would tell them now, because everyone have gotten over the initial shock. If they tell em now, things will change again quickly. If its on final night, the winner will be excited for 30 seconds, thats it.
I bet Gerry and Ziggy will change if they are told now!

Wildcat! 08-07-2007 12:02 AM

I think they should tell them during the fake eviction interview!!
That would be cool.

andybigbro 08-07-2007 12:04 AM

i dont think they should know at all!

Rory 08-07-2007 12:06 AM

Definitely not. Even though most of them will get more than that post-eviction.

CharlotteSometimes 08-07-2007 02:22 AM

I'd rather they kept quiet about it right up until the winner's interview. Davina didn't tell Laura, did she?

Bigbrotherin 08-07-2007 02:29 AM

Only tell them as they leave, during their evictions. Tell the winner once he's out. Or get Davina on the night of the last eviction she could say "Housemates, next week as you know, is the big brother final. Big brother and the voting public would like to inform housemates that there is a second prize fund and that the winner will recieve it". The first one is better if you want to see a good interview and the second one is better if you want a bitchy last week. If big brother gave the winner the money whilst on air, it would be a hell of a lot better to have this twist.

the_chosen_one 08-07-2007 11:21 PM

There could be lots of gameplaying if they find out about the money at some point. Is it worth giving up that so we can see the winner's surprised face at the end?

CharlotteSometimes 09-07-2007 02:32 AM

You could turn that on its head too, though. At the moment, they all think that the money is gone (although personally, I'd imagine a few of them at least still think there'll be something for the winner). So what is there to stay for, given that most of us aren't likely to believe the 'I'm doing it for the experience' line, as far as most of the hm's are concerned? With no prize money on offer, there's less chance of hm's being false to endear themselves to the public and/or their fellow hm's.

I think some of them have changed a fair bit over the last few weeks, but the obvious one would be Gerry. We saw the BBOTC footage suggesting he wasn't being entirely genuine when he said that he didn't care about the money, too. Obviously there's no way of knowing whether his confidence has just grown over time, or whether he's taken issue with Charley because she's clearly unpopular and he sees strife with her as a vote winner for himself. But now that there's no prize money in their eyes, anyone who thought that they could stay quiet and slip under the radar would surely have had a serious rethink.

Maybe just tell Liam and then its his choice to share the info.. but the HM's might think he is lying.. so we can see how fussed they get over 100,000..

natjake2504 09-07-2007 09:08 AM

i dont think that they should tell them to rtight @ the end and we have choose a winner - it shpuld be when they have had there interview and then they should get told as a bonus xx

Blowout 09-07-2007 11:09 AM

They shouldn't be told until they tell the winner on the final night.

lou16xx 10-07-2007 11:33 AM

Don't tell them

BigBrotherFan..* 10-07-2007 01:53 PM

just tell liam :)

Simple_Plan 10-07-2007 02:21 PM

I Dont Think They Should Be Told

GlitterEyes 11-07-2007 12:43 AM

I think just telling one housemate would be interesting especially telling Charley as I doubt she could keep it a secret. Telling any housemate would be good just to see if they changed.

Wildcat! 11-07-2007 10:25 AM

Tell them now! They can start backstabing each other again. Lets face it, the twist didnt work. Telling them at the end will just be a 30 sec surprise!

Stu 11-07-2007 10:28 AM

Tell them sometime. Anytime. Anything to extend endemols waste of 100,000 past the half hour of TV viewing we got out of it.

Wildcat! 11-07-2007 01:04 PM

aint it? What is the point, they have completelky forgotten about it, other than liam!
