Star Trek: Prodigy (Season 2 postproduction + negotiations under way as we speak)

drop dead stupid moronic paramount staff :idc: :idc:

lazy morons, so hope karma will come for them and all the other paramount shows also getting cancelled then

i hope Nickelodeon will find tons of bidders to take it over from paramount

Prodigy is million times better than Discovery flop anyway

i would love a Disney+ deal via Pixar  that could work maybe, and tbh Skyshowtime hasn't only got paramount, but also a subsection of Nickelodeon so they don't have to remove it, and paramount can't demand its removal since they only co-own it, if they don't want it anymore, simple thing is for them to be removed from ownership

"Removing less-viewed content from streaming platforms for a tax write-off is an increasingly common strategy used by major studios as they look to balance their books amid heavy streaming losses. Pulling content from the service means they avoid paying residuals and allows them to generate revenue by licensing the content elsewhere."

hypocrite much as they keep Discovery for that unnecessary final season

heavy streaming losses, not my fault paramount+ completely sucks :laugh3:

also in the logo Nickelodeon is mentioned as who its from, not paramount ;)

its on skyshowtime, in the Nickelodeon subsection, not in the paramount one either

Nicky91 27-06-2023 01:38 PM

but oh well, its not like i've got nothing else to watch

and i can also easily cancel my skyshowtime account if paramount want to start acting this moronic and problematic

Disney also cancels things yes, but only the not much watched reality tv ***** and some foreign series i've also even never heard of  but more so to make way to keep providing quality content

Paramount not wanting to give Prodigy a fair chance even if quality was good such a major dick move from them

Prodigy is similarly enjoyable family entertainment as camp cretaceous had been on netflix, animation but still with very cool action scenes, good storytelling (much better storytelling than the mediocrity that is discovery)

The Writer's Strike has probably not done Prodigy any favours unfortunately for you Nicky.

Plus Hollywood do like to do things that most of their fans don't want them to do at the moment, and considering Star Trek: Prodigy has decent user scores on aggregate sites, that means bye bye to Prodigy.

But seriously it's probably the writer's strike.

well i can also easily cancel my skyshowtime account then ;) if paramount want to troll like this, i can play that same game too :idc:

the prodigy producers + janeway actress Kate Mulgrew are gonna hold a special comic con event/meeting where to stream season 2 then, and they are pretty pissed too, all their hard work going to waste

It is honestly a shame for everyone involved.

Unfortunately though the writer's strike will get a lot of Shows cancelled.

7.4 score on IMDB that is really good ;) and Paramount decides to cancel it, and not only that, they also have been removing the classic star trek films from their streaming service like what the ****

if they had cancelled that discovery stench or other lower rating flop shows instead, i wouldn't have complained then (you know what Disney, Netflix also do to the lower rated, zero appeal filler material which only take up lots of space and gets watched by barely anyone)

Prodigy had been getting very good reviews, season 2 was in post production, and producers have confirmed it'll be released, now the search starts for what the new destination platform will be

Nicky91 28-06-2023 07:38 AM

Disney would be a fabulous choice for Star Trek i think, for example what a wonderful job they do with Star Wars, like The Mandalorian success series, and a ''star trek collection'' wouldn't be a too bad move either i guess, given how much they also adore having the classic content on their streaming service, another thing i love about Disney+, for example remove ''kardashians'' not interested in those reality stars anymore myself, make a little space for this and prodigy can easily work with Pixar i think

cancelling Prodigy, might be some good news in terms of the ''Star Trek: Janeway'' Picard style project, something Kate Mulgrew was also interested in, a big Voyager reunion

tbh i enjoyed watching Prodigy, only have season finale to watch tonight, last 2 episodes

but i would instantly adore a voyager reunion, still my fave star trek series  and i also love how the entire cast are still good friends too

Nicky91 01-07-2023 01:42 PM

at least i finished season 1 in time before they could remove it

was a nice finale ep, hope season 2 gets its release somewhere, was a nice cliffhanger ending too
Spoiler:

season 2 being a rescue mission for Chakotay

Nicky91 24-08-2023 01:41 PM

season 2 production being wrapped up as we speak and look who's back

https://www.giantfreakinrobot.com/wp...r1-900x522.png

also they are negotiating with several streaming services who want to take it over from Paramount+

Netflix seems like the no.1 favourite for me personally, as they already have the Voyager series on it, and this basically being a Voyager legacy anime series + Netflix done fab job on Camp Cretaceous making that very successful too

Nicky91 24-08-2023 01:42 PM

the return of The Doctor :worship:

Mystic Mock 02-09-2023 05:24 AM

Good luck to Prodigy, Nicky.

I honestly always hope that all Shows can achieve success, even if I haven't seen them or don't like them.
