Im having out of date sausages for my tea

https://ecom-su-static-prod.wtrecom....3521_BP_11.jpg

So I spied some square sausage in Waitrose yesterday £1.45 but it was in date
only till 12/7. So i got it and last night I had 2 slices with some lovely mashed
skin on tatties and beans. And i thought I will have the other 2 slices on toast
for me lunch.

But I forgot and had soup and mackrel on toast.

So i will eat the same tea tonight - its one day out of date but i am sure its fine.

Stick it to the man :smug:

the fat left in the airfyer i pour into the dogs can so it solidifies and mixes with the food for the morning

They will be fine...Most things are fine 2-3 days after the sell by date...but like Niamh said so long as it looks and smells ok you it will be fine...

Cherie 13-07-2023 04:16 PM

I day will be fine, nothing worse than a sour sausage though

Lovely.

I've just had a Chinese. Sweet and sour chicken, barbecue spare ribs, egg fried rice, chips and prawn crackers. Only ate half. Put the other half in the fridge. I'll have that for my tea tomorrow.

i think you should do the sniff test on all meat products. Its the biggest give away that something isnt right

Freeze it when it is within its date and you can keep it for a month.

Sausage meat is notoriously easy to undercook... hope you cooked it through properly :omgno:.

Also remember that food poisoning can take up the 3 days to manifest :hee:.
