Chris Langham was convicted after paying to access indecent and abusive
images of children on the internet

The BBC has put episodes of the comedy The Thick of It featuring convicted
sex offender Chris Langham back on its iPlayer digital catch-up service.

The decision comes at a time when the corporation is under close scrutiny
following its handling of the Huw Edwards affair, after the high-profile
presenter was identified as being at the centre of an alleged sex scandal.

Armando Iannucci, the writer and creator of The Thick of It, announced on
social media the BBC’s move to make the show available, tweeting: “Oh, by
the way, every episode of The Thick Of It now back up on BBC iPlayer.”

Victims groups have questioned whether it is appropriate for the two series of
The Thick of It featuring Langham to be promoted and made available for
viewers.

I've never heard of him or seen Thick of It, but if every production (especially Hollywood production) that features sex offenders was withdrawn from consumption, there'd hardly be anything left.

If you've seen this, then you've seen him before. Because that's him with Michael Palin in this iconic scene.

I have the Thick of it boxset, so I have the dirty nonce on dvd. He's actually brilliant in it. It's disappointing he did what he did because he then was taken out of the show after the first series.

I'm capable of separating the person from the art. Like Oliver said, if you stop watching the art because of the artists shenanigans, art would be dead. History proves that great artists pretty much all have their flaws and they're just the ones we know about.

Plus thankfully he isn't playing himself on the Show, so it should make it a bit easier to stomach.

Yes the have a right.

I mean I'll still watch Buffy reruns even though Whedon turned out to be a creep, and Xander went on to be a wife beating violent drunk (foreshadowed in an episode of the show, that one is a bit of an odd watch...)

My main issue would be if he's making any money from it being there. If so then I find it a bit questionable, if not then, as has been said, if we ban and boycott every historic show and film that has a guy who turned out to be a predator in it, we'd be banning pretty much everything. Sadly.

Its a tough one as it isn't really fair to penalise the whole show for one guys actions ....grim though they are

you can't airbrush history, but you do have the option to watch it or not. I haven't watched Spacey in anything since all the crap hit the fan, but it didn't suddenly turn him into a bad actor. It just comes down to personal choice.

Then he went on to marry her.

You only have to look at his face to see he's a sicko. Can't stand him.
