How Ziggy got jiggy with BB chaperone
 

BIG Brother was at the centre of another fix row last night after it was revealed Ziggy once dated a member of its production team.

Show bosses knew about the 26-year-old’s relationship with the BB care team worker called Sam – but have so far tried to keep it a secret from the public.

And we can exclusively reveal they have even been editing Ziggy’s conversations to keep the romance under wraps.

But their plans were scuppered after a show insider revealed the former boyband singer – real name Zac Lichman – talked about his former lover while in the house.

Our Big Brother source said: “Ziggy and Sam dated years ago when they were teenagers.

“Sam looked after Charley as part of the chaperone process. Ziggy told Chanelle and Chanelle discussed it with Charley.

“But when directors heard that he had been talking about it openly, they flagged it up to make sure it didn’t get through.

“I don’t think most people would have thought twice about it because they dated so long ago. But with BB bosses trying to keep it a secret, you have to think there is something to hide.

“Some people have been suggesting that Ziggy got through the auditions process thanks to special treatment.

“And after the whole Charley fix claims, this is the last thing the show needs right now.

“This is really embarrassing and it appears they are trying to keep it from viewers.”

Last night fans were furious about the claims.

One said: “It’s very fishy. I’m angry that the public haven’t been allowed to hear all that has been said in the house about it and I know that a lot of other fans will be too.”

BB care team members are responsible for looking after housemates and their families as they enter and leave the house.

Shamed Emily Parr, who was removed after referring to Charley Uchea as a “n****r”, revealed how staff member Sam also looked after her as she left the house.

And it is now feared Ziggy and Sam’s past could lead to a conflict of interest in the light of their relationship.

Last night a BB spokesman said: “Ziggy auditioned for Big Brother and went through the same application processes as other housemates.

“Following the selection process and prior to going into the house, we were made aware that Ziggy had a previous acquaintance with a member of the BB
production team, who was in no way involved in the casting of Ziggy.

“He received no preferential treatment during the application process and will be treated the same as all other housemates during his time in the house.”
