What team/s will you be supporting and / or keeping an eye on this season ?

I’m a long term Barca fan ( over 50 years) but I can’t wait to watch Arsenal again .. hopefully the additions of Rice snd Havertz don’t scupper their beautiful football .

I’m also expecting great things from Liverpool with the addition of Szoboszlai who I’ve admired from a distance.. add him plus Mac Allister and TAA to their forwards Salah , Jota , Nunez , Gakpo and Diaz !!

I will be watching the Burnley games as they also play lovely football , Leicester as they’ve got Pep’s number 2 managing them .. oh and Wrexham just because :)

Rangers, West Ham, Linfield, Hamburg and my FPL team

bots 25-07-2023 10:36 AM

i will be watching united of course

I expect arsenal to drop back to where they have been in previous seasons. Haaland is apparently fitter now than he was last season, so that's going to be interesting.

Liverpool and Chelsea will finish higher than last season for sure, but I think the top 2 will be city and united and the rest will have to fight it out

Arsenal are stronger on paper but that’s what Newcastle thought when they added Faustino Asprilla when they were about 12 points clear at the top ..

Chelsea have parted with about 10 good players and brought in …. ???

I’m expecting Spurs to improve with the new manager and playing style .. especially if they ship out Kane and strengthen the squad

Haaland failed to score in his last 8 league games ( or something like that) .. maybe he’s been sussed out ?

According to reports from Nicolo Schira Fiorentina's Morocco midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, 26, has reached an agreement to join Manchester United on a five-year deal.

The team I'd love to surprise and do what should be for such a club is Birmingham.
Who I've supported since a child.

In the Premier league, since Birmingham is still absent for now from there.
I hope Man Utd get more consistency and challenge for the title this season.
Please not City again.

I also like West Ham, Chelsea and Everton too.

In Scotland, I've no time for the usual 2 which just about win everything.
I would love to see some better challenge to their dominance from Hibernian particularly.

liverpool leaked goals like a sieve against poor opposition yesterday, which is pretty much the problem they had last season

Almere City i'm gonna pay some attention to in their debut eredivisie season

am following the team wherever Xavi Simons plays this season (either his loan spell at RB Leipzig or now with Mbappe's departure to the saudi's, being brought back to PSG after all)
gonna follow PSG nevertheless, also for Kangin Lee

Real Madrid surely too, with the fab signings in Brahim Diaz, Bellingham, Fran Garcia

and forever loyal to Fortuna Sittard, am more excited now than for last season, lesser ego's now it seems, mainly team players rather than last year with Yilmaz

Chelsea mainly. Though i do have a soft spot for Brighton.

There's a youngster called Nicolas Jackson we've just signed, he's been playing pre season, he looks pretty sharp. Hopefully he'll get a chance with Poch, and carry on his pre season form into the PL.

Chelsea wont miss Havertz. I do like him as a person, but overall he's very average as a player imo.

Man U have a couple of really good youngsters nearly ready to break into the team, i hope they get some chances this year

Beso 25-07-2023 01:47 PM

Liverpool
Newcastle
Millwall
West ham
And of course heart of midlothian.

i have been a closet Falkirk supporter for 50 years ... but i don't advertise it

Havertz was rated world class when he was in Germany hence the price tags ..

Brighton could struggle if they end up losing their best 3 players

He was given a main role in the Chelsea team last season, and like with a lot of other players he failed to impress.

I dunno, his highlight was the 2021 goal against City in the CL final. He's a very average player.

In saying that, the player i think is very much below average is Sterling, not surprisingly no team seems to have shown any interested in him this summer. Not even the Saudi's.

Yikes

Just watching Celtic running Wolves ragged

Celtic look great going forward .

I thought they’d struggle as someone said they sold their best player. .. Jota ?

Kyogo and McGregor look to be excellent

Now I’ve got to keep a lookout for young Beckham at Brentford and young Kluivert at Bournemouth !!

Beckham only signed for their 2nd team, he's not in Brentford's PL squad.
