BBC forced to apologise for 'inappropriate' question at Women’s World Cup to

The journalist, who reportedly works for the BBC World Service, asked
Morocco captain Ghizlane Chebbak on Sunday: 'We know that gay marriage is
illegal [in your country]. Are there any gay players in the team? And what is
it like for them?'

A FIFA representative shut down the question, assessing that it could have
'endangered' players.

'Sorry, this is a very political question, so we'll just stick to questions relating
to football,' they said.

A spokesman for the BBC has since said: 'We recognise that the question was
inappropriate. We had no intention to cause any harm or distress.'

Same-sex relationships for both men and women are illegal in Morocco, and
homosexuality is punishable by three to five years in prison.

We've been without ours for so long that they no longer ask. I'm pretty sure that when we move, the new occupants here will never get a letter about it, and could just neglect getting one forever without so much as a nudge :joker:. They've given up and removed the address from their systems or something.

i unfortunately have a blinking huge arial on the roof and a satellite dish on the side, so if they ever came round i would be busted instantly :laugh:

Me too... the arial has likely been there since the 80's, the sky dish was used up until about 5 years ago... there's no requirement to taken them down once they're no longer in use. I mean taking the dish down would probably be easy enough with a ladder, but I aint scrambling about on the roof messing with the old aerial!

It's strange, they find money for the most niche of things, but only show one NBA game a month. And if anyone knows NBA, there are like 1500 live games a year!
