Sussexes back report that calls for adverts to break gender stereotypes

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have backed a report calling for adverts to
“break the gender binary” by showing women mowing the lawn and men doing
the cooking.

Megan Markle achieved her great wealth and status by marrying Prince Harry

The couple have given their support to the US charity Equimundo, which is
working to reduce the care-giving equality gap through their biennial State of
the World’s Fathers reports.

“Media should break down gender stereotypes and show men doing cooking
and cleaning and women doing tasks like mowing the lawn or fixing the sink,”
the 91-page document suggests.

It adds that their research aims to “break the gender binary in childhood” by
encouraging men and fathers to do their share of the care work and for boys
to be taught to do the same.

Ive shared the cooking and household work with my other half for as long as i can remember, why does this need special attention

Oliver_W 26-07-2023 08:09 AM

Such a non-issue which I'm sure is trying to address something which already happens.

Livia 26-07-2023 08:44 AM

Agree with Bots and Oliver.

Not only is my husband a dab hand at cooking he shares all the housework and gardening. But what makes him a superhero in my eyes is that a couple of days ago he drove to Heathrow with 2 children under five then managed to get them on a plane to Texas and off the other end with no dramas. I have never been more attracted to him!

Fair enough. Fair enough.

Imagine trying to be relevant by going back to the 1960’s. Pair of twats.

There is nothing quite more stereotypical that a Duke and a Duchess

user104658 26-07-2023 01:10 PM

I mean this is such a benign non-story, the only interesting part about it is that people have still somehow managed to get themselves annoyed about it :joker:.

News: "Prince Harry had a ham sandwich for his lunch yesterday."

TiBB: "I ALWAYS SAID HE LOOKED LIKE A PIG MURDERING MONSTER!!!"

Well they both threw their own Fathers under a bus so that is equal I guess

Karma for both of them though. Charlie wrote about his own dear mum, Mr Markle gave the press stories about his daughter. They don't really have a leg to stand on between them.

Plenty of chubby alky-edema fingers, but no leg.

Meghan backs this..

Harry's just doing as hes told to keep the peace

Beso 26-07-2023 02:28 PM

Makes you laugh mind..equal jobs in the household for men and women...the servants can just bloody well get on with it though.

It came out recently that Meghan and Harry were snubbed by President Joe Biden when they asked for a lift home to the USA from the Queen's funeral in Air Force One….and the Democratic governor of California Gavin Newsom has BLOCKED Meghan’s number after she was harassing him with calls. The Democrats are distancing themselves apparently... much like nearly everyone else who were once sympathetic towards them in the USA.

You'll find it easily, unless you have forgotten how to do a google search. :hee:

Meghan and Harry reportedly wanted to fly back to the US with President Biden on Air Force One but their request is said to have been rejected.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a deluded idea of their status on the world stage
They do align themselves with that of world leaders with them thinking it almost being their duty to "make the world a better place" and tell us all how we can make that happen by using less energy and all that bollocks.

Maybe once taken seriously, now people just see them as a pair of clowns.

Totally agree….continuing to lecture on how we should respect each other and make the world a better place when they have totally disrespected their own blood…

That’s what irrational hatred will do to people
