Countdown is spared jail after admitting downloading child abuse images

• Judge Shaun Smith KC handed him a suspended sentence in Derby Crown Court

Christopher Thomas Binns, whose character is hospital DJ Ivan Brackenbury,
pleaded guilty last November to five counts of making indecent images of
children and one of possessing a prohibited image.

Derby Crown Court heard the 53-year-old - who goes by the name Tom
Binns - was found to have thousands of images on multiple devices.

yep, he was doing research apparently. He obviously thought he was better equipped to do it than the police. I think all that happened to him was being put on the register
