2 Children were Rescued
by the Helicopters.

So far.

Cherie 22-08-2023 02:24 PM

Thank goodness, hopeful for all of them to be rescued, cant imagine how terrifying that would be

Obviously nowhere near as high off the ground (although, I reckon you'd still die if it fell  ) but when I was 16 me and 3 of my mates got stuck on the cable cars at Alton Towners for 30+ minutes. They just... stopped. It was more claustrophobic than anything else - it was a hot day and it's like a little greenhouse!

Thankfully none of us were being knob heads... the car in front, the kids in it were deliberately running back and forward to make it swing around D:.

i've been on a cable car twice. Once in Switzerland and once in Hong Kong. I was a kid in switzerland and didn't care less, but as an adult in hong kong, it was scary as ****, it's just unsafe

They have been 14 hours up there now

The Army Helicopters have stopped
due to nighttime arriving.

This.

I'd be petrified in the same situation that these kids have found themselves in.

Mystic Mock 22-08-2023 09:14 PM

Great news they've all been rescued. :)

By the way, when I first saw that image on Twitter of that cable car hanging by a thread, I did think it was one of those UFOs.

The Local Villages
Have made all this work
they were in a
Front Shell of Lorry.
Adapted to work as their own Local Cable Car.

It saves 3 hours ground journey to the School.
