Looks like it was a big one for Morocco standards

I have to go to japan a lot this 2nd half of the year. This scares me.

arista 09-09-2023 04:01 AM

Yes CNN HD USA on UK TV

a earthquake of this magnitude, last time it happened in north africa, was in Algeria, claimed the lives of more than 2.500 people back then

---------
EU is going to send help to Morocco, first rescue workers and afterwards also helping to rebuild survivors their homes

arista 09-09-2023 08:36 AM

UserSince2005 09-09-2023 11:59 AM

Both times I went to Morocco the local treated me disgustingly. I have never met such devious people.

arista 09-09-2023 01:08 PM

Deaths now reach over 1,000
sadly dead

arista 10-09-2023 03:38 AM

Many Homes built with Mud
have stood, for a long time
but no way in a deadly Earthquake

arista 10-09-2023 04:05 AM

Japan buildings are very strong and built to survive an earthquake.
Marocco houses are not as strong at all.

not bad policies by moroccan government i think

not making it too chaotic with help coming in from too many countries but more controlled emergency help

Netherlands government are sending Morocco 5 million to restore buildings, for medicine, food, water however we are waiting doing a national tv broadcast asking public to donate money until we have the green light by Morocco to actually send help
