How sharp is your hearing?

Can you hear people carrying on conversations from a mile off or is everything just one big mumble to you until you’re forced to get your ears syringed?

I do struggle but only because I’m actually dead in one ear (etc.)

deaf* (stupid auto-correct)

My eyesight is shocking and I think my hearing makes up for it  Don't be whispering near me as I will hear it

Sometimes a bit of discretion is lacking when it comes to gossips (who aren’t particularly capable of talking quietly/low) dirt-talking people, because privacy isn’t exactly something they value as much. With the volume turned up and the windows wide open of course people with sharp ears are going to hear you. We’re not all partially deaf.

i have tinnitus, but i can still hear things perfectly well

Feel like my long range hearing is great but short range not so good, I don't know if that's actually a thing

Part of the reason I don't like clubs or loud bars much, can't hear the person I'm speaking to for the life of me and sometimes I wonder if that's because I'm hearing all the background noise too well

No-one can hear anyone in clubs and loud bars, especially if you already have a naturally quiet/low/particularly deep voice. That’s why I always write my orders down at places like that (I do it on Notes). Shouting’s never been my strong point.

You can any a proper conversation at the club, you’ll have to go to the smoking area. That’s where you’re likely to find half of clubbers with extra-husky voices anyway. Sometimes there’s a reason their voices are like that.
