Christian Gamer loses sponsors over Transphobic views.

This video will go more in depth.

If you don't want to watch the video then I will try to do a quick summary of the situation.

This Christian Woman who I think was Community Manager at 343 Industries (that part I might've got wrong tbf) but anyway she went to Twitter to do a Halo Tournament for women.

Now the controversy begins when the Christian Woman states after I think some backlash on Twitter "I am building out channels in my Discord for the ladies series on Saturday. I love and value all people, and as a Christian, I believe God created people in his image as male and female. (Genesis 5:1-2) Therefore, I will not be allowing Trans players to participate."

I have translated it word for word, so I've not taken any of the Tweet out of context.

Now imo I have to disagree with the pretty Youtuber on this, I get her argument that the Christian Woman is "allowed to choose whoever she likes to participate in her tournament" however Transwomen do see themselves as women, plus unlike a competitive Sports event where Transwomen are robbing women of trophies and prizes, apparently this particular Tournament was just meant for fun, so why can't Transwomen be allowed to take part if it's just a fun non-competitive event?

Don't get me wrong I actually do like this Youtuber, she has her own opinions which I respect, there's no beating around the bush, but I don't agree with her on this fundamentally.

What do you guys think? I personally don't see the issue with letting Transwomen take part in a non-commercial Tournament with women, but I know that there's going to be people that don't agree, so I'm interested to hear both sides of the debate.

Yes, Keep the Church stuff
out of the debate
is the only way to go.

Trans Players should still play
but in disguise

Hmmmm.

It's not like sports, where male people have a competitive advantage based on their biology.

BUT similar to the chess thread a while back, male people are generally more inclined to devote time and energy to a hobby, which is why the transwoman did so well.

But regardless, even if the tournie was just for fun, doesn't mean it can't be for women only, if that's whay the organiser/s wanted. The Women's Institute isn't known for its competitive physical sports, but they should be able to decide if they want to remain woman-only.

She is as entitled to her beliefs as a man who thinks having a pink phone case believes he is a woman  why is the second belief taking precedence over the the first belief which is part of her faith? I wonder if men only clubs are allowing transmen in, you never hear a peep about transmen

There is nothing wrong with having a belief. Forcing others to comply with that belief is the problem and always has been. If something is not enshrined in law, it shouldn't affect a single other person

Christians getting a bashing because they're an easy target. A Jew and a Muslim would have said the same.

Yeah bigotry will lead to things like that happening

But I suppose my point would be that because it is only for fun (apparently) and Transwomen do identify as women, that an exception could be made?

To be honest this is even more clear-cut than mainstream sports... If you open up a female gaming tournament to trans women, it'll end up stacked with Anime autogyne fetishists who are little more than reddit bros in miniskirts.

I have my issues with the complexity of trans rights in general but... This is just something different entirely again. Everyone (including actual trans women) should take issue with angry teenage boys who like to UwU.

why does all this stuff boil down to angry solitary men who hate women?
