Ken Livingstone, 78 has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease

[Controversial former Mayor of London
Ken Livingstone, who earned the nickname
'Red Ken' for his left-wing politics,
has been diagnosed with
Alzheimer's disease aged 78.
The one-time figurehead of the Labour left,
who ran the capital from 2000 until 2008
when he was defeated by Boris Johnson,
is being 'well cared for by his
family and friends' as he retires
from public life.
The news comes after other high-profile
figures such as journalists Alastair Stewart
and Fiona Phillips decided to share their
own battles with the disease.]

Not good news for old Ken.

Sad news.

I'd rather be put down like a dog than live with this.

Terrible.

I honestly don't know what else to say other than feeling sorry for him tbh.

Wouldn't want that for anyone

Really horrible and cruel illness.
For both the person who sadly has the condition but also for their loved ones in their lives too.

If anything can be really evil then this illness is certainly up there at the top of being so.

God forbid I ever get news like that. But if I do... I'm going out like a rock star. You'll find me full of champagne and coke, in a Rolls Royce at the bottom of a swimming pool.
