I doubt much will be inspiring.
It is more likely going to be about trying to avoid anything that could be controversially used to derail the current polling at this moment. I'm not expecting anything unexpected as to new or more necessary policy matters. Although with Labour there is always the strong chance of major disputes arising which will be seized on much more by the media than would be for the Con conferences. Apparently Labour's conferences used to be filled with drama , arguments and all grievances aired at them. Now more stage managed so dull or more tedious. I dread more Starmer's speech than am looking forward to it. He'll be ignoring calls for PR again even if it gets properly debated again. Really like PMQs in parliament, which needs a massive change done to it. These conferences by all the Parties now in my view serve no real purpose at all. |

Yes Joey Starmers New Labour Let's hope some good Fringe Events get a storm going. |
we may get another "scum" speech, not sure if i would call that inspiring

I'm pretty sure however that the media overall will be hanging on every word Raynor may say. Hoping to pick on any slightest negative she may spout off. It's a good thing they don't hear me on what I think of this shower of Cons in government. It would be unprintable Really, these conferences mean nothing now. There's little to no challenging on just about everything. Just stage managed, false and deceitful presentations of words. That really are more meaningless . |

[The paper carries an exclusive of "key figures" from ex-prime minister Tony Blair's 1997 campaign warning Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer to be bold if he wants to win the next general election.] https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...an-nc.png.webp |
He needs to spell out more detail, as much as he can.
I accept he has to be cautious, the UK is in a mess across the board. Not all of it but a good part of the reason for that is the road we've been taken down over the last almost 13 and a half years now. However a clearer vision can be set out with more of what he'd like to do if things turn around more promising in the next 2 to 3 years. Just please those close to him try to wake Starmer up to demonstrate more passion even. |

A Staged Entrance early this morning, they all clap at the same time. |
Hate all this pre planned staging.
Really annoys me. |
