16 human eyes appear on the BBUK instagram

I think we can safely say those of the eyes of this years housemates!

BBDodge 07-10-2023 09:00 AM

Crowded House.

But it's bigger so it won't feel cramped.

Lostie! 07-10-2023 09:13 AM

16 is a lot for a 6 week series, I was expecting maybe 10.

The 8th and the 12th one look almost identical. Twins?

They wanted a diverse cast so that's easier to do with 16.

With 10 we could have had 1 oldie, 2 BAME, 2 LGBTQ+, 1 disabled and 4 straight white with some overlaps.

I watched Physical 100 recently. A Korean game show on Netflix where 100 people compete in physical challenges and are whittled down over 9 episodes. And their solution was to split the housemates in teams and eliminate half of them each week until they were down to 4. Maybe BB will pull something similar? Split them up into groups one week and get the public to evict one.

BBDodge 07-10-2023 09:27 AM

I don't want housemates' fate decided by being on a team. Bad enough being in pairs in BB7 as there were a couple of pairs where I wanted 1 out and 1 to stay.

BigAsher 07-10-2023 09:29 AM

Too many. Not happy. Just gonna become oversaturated with pointless twists

Cal. 07-10-2023 09:33 AM

Far too many for a 6 week series.

Babayaro. 07-10-2023 09:34 AM

Yeah unless the series is extended by a week or two then 16 housemates is too much. But who knows, it might work depending on what kind of format ITV are going with.

Maybe a stunning 2 eviccys a week like CBB presented by the GORGEOUS Will Best ?

Stu 07-10-2023 09:40 AM

So about 1.6 evictions a week - including the final week - if you want to end up with six in the final. Yikes.

UserSince2005 07-10-2023 09:59 AM

Not enough blue eyes. We are always so underrepresented in the media

daniel-lewis-1985 07-10-2023 10:03 AM

Hmm. 16 seems a bit much for such a short series. That means we have to get rid of 10 people in the run up to the final just to have 6 on the last night.

So we're either going to get constant double evictions (which i cant stand) or 2 weekly evictions which wont let the house breath or the housemates chill out and settle in throughout the week. Its to many.

12 would have been the perfect spot.

But this wouldn't be Big Brother if we didn't find multiple things to complain about so lol.

I'm just happy it's back.

Recessive gene, what can you do!

My mum was blue eyed so I know I have brown & blue alleles.

Soldier Boy 07-10-2023 10:33 AM

Not necessarily multiple evictions per week, we've had seasons with mass evictions near the beginning... 4 - 5 could easily go on week 1.

It'll be something like that. A launch night twist in which everyone's up for eviction and 5 go or something. Hopefully its early on before we get to like them all.

ComingToGetYou 07-10-2023 12:29 PM

I guess it's also possible they've thrown a couple of extra in, in case of drop-outs. I can imagine them not wanting to put any HMs in mid-way through, especially since the run is short compared to previous years. And if none drop out, they can simply throw a couple of extra evictions or twists in.

Been staring at them to try and figure out age and ethnicity but now it's grossing me out

And sex, you can't always tell any of those three traits from eye alone.

I bet the one with too much makeup on the second row is a drag queen

Vanessa 07-10-2023 12:47 PM

They could have mass evictions or some double ones. Six left in the final. One wins.

Babayaro. 07-10-2023 12:53 PM

Personally I would love it if they returned to a three-way final. It would make it feel much more of an event. Or, at the most 4.

I always preferred 3/4 HM finals.

Oliver_W 07-10-2023 01:13 PM

Maybe there could be a "Semi Final" were 3-5 get evicted but have official "Places", if that makes sense.
