Angela Rayner … thoughts on this young lady ..

Angela Rayner … fresh out of the kitchen :)

Says ….

The next Labour government will make misogyny a ‘hate crime’

Labour deputy leader Angela Rayner has pledged that the next Labour government will make misogyny a 'hate crime'.
Speaking at the annual Labour Women's Conference in Liverpool, the British politician began off by saying, "Let’s face it – sometimes it’s tiring being a woman in this world, especially under a Tory Government!"

Politics aside … what are your thoughts on this individual ?

I really can’t take to her .. I find her abrasive and completely unlikable

She's very good to talk to.
I like her actually.
You really do feel you can talk to her when you meet her and she's not dismissive of you.
She does seem genuinely interested in you and what you think.

However she can be very careless in speeches.
Plus makes ridiculous comments too often.

Isn't that just twisting words?

Adding sex into hate crime legislation Isn't the worst idea tbh. Beliefs such as religion or gender identity are, so why aren't realities like sex?

She's a coward. Talks a good game at times, then gets any policy she has put forward to be wiped out by the lord of the realm, as she stands there in silence

A careerist who is more interested in keeping her job (which she will lose at the first opportunity after the election), than fighting for the things she pretends to care about.

My only real problem with her calling the Tories "scum" was that she basically handed the tabloids a headline, and everything else she said was ignored or overlooked.

she rubs me up the wrong way so i basically never listen to a word she says. I also believe that she harms her chosen causes more than she helps them

There is a fair base to your last point there.
I have to agree with that.

That last part is a red flag for a leading politician

She should be the Labour leader. She has passion and a will that Starmer will never have.

That said, her grammar is awful. :p

I think she comes across as relatable and down to earth. Yes, a little abrasive and more 'common' than the usual politician in the language she uses, which can sometimes come across as unprofessional - but I think she's going to be a good weapon to stir up younger voters.

Whether you like it or not, politics is about personality over policy now, and she stands out as a figurehead in the Labour party on that front.

Livia 09-10-2023 03:57 PM

I think she's a disgrace.

OnTheRight 10-10-2023 10:07 AM

A horrid woman.

Might there be a word in that sentence you want to have another run at?

Crimson Dynamo 10-10-2023 10:38 AM

bitter and nasty woman

joeysteele 10-10-2023 10:51 AM

Well if she gets hard-line Cons really hating her, she's maybe got a fair bit going for her after all.
I find her very amiable personally.

Politically a bit worrying as to what she'll come out with or say.
( That was oddly admired by Cons as to Johnson).

She would however be perhaps a better prospect with Labour than Starmer.

After Jo Cox was murdered and there were calls to curb the language MPs used about each other, she instantly referred to the Tories as "scum".

i really can't comment because i just don't listen to her. If she is on a channel i am watching, i switch channels immediately

So, Rayner buys a house on Vicarage Road

She marries and - as this document shows - changes her primary address to be
Lowndes Lane, her husband’s house

5 years later she sells her house on Vicarage Road. For a profit which, as it
wasn’t her primary address, should’ve been taxable.

But she avoided paying tax by claiming Vicarage Road *was* her primary
address. But according to this document, it wasn’t.

So did she lie on the document? Or is she lying now?
