Launch Night: Scattered Thoughts

Very impressive set of housemates! Personality wise, really diverse

AJ & Will seem to have good chemistry so far and come across likeable

Loved the little nod to Davina with “fancy another one?” (or something to that effect)

The house and the diary room chair both look great on TV

Marcus seems fairly toned down…:worry::fc:

Top three housemates based off (the very short) VTs & interactions with other housemates are Jordan, Yinrun, and Dylan

Of course the only housemate I don’t like happens to be the only person representing Scotland :skull:

I sense a Nadia-like reveal with Hallie

The twist at the end with Olivia is very dumb - as if the rest of the house are going to vote her as the least entertaining housemate. It would have made more sense had she been tasked with being voted 1st or at least within the top 3

Jordan sounded like Stephen Hawking in his diary room entry

The only thing I wasn't really keen on was Big Brother's voice

MTVN 08-10-2023 09:44 PM

Agree with your final point. Olivia having to get top 3 could have been really interesting, they obviously wanted to make it as easy as possible though

Me too

AJ was the weak link for me - great personality but honestly to me she is not a great presenter especially when it comes to reading autocue.

Zizu 08-10-2023 10:57 PM

Like most of them

Really like Olivia , Zak , Noky, Dylan, Farida , Jordon

Dislike Jenkin and the two perm guys ( Matty and Tom ?)

Hated the revamped theme tune

Hated the stupid statues game

Shame

Found it all a bit Dull especially presenters , and then discovered it was NOT live but pre-recorded :nono:

I agree. I thought it was pretty decent. No worse than most of the launch nights from previous series.

They've got a good mix of housemates in there, and a lot of them seem pretty likeable.

It will be interesting to see what the rest of the show will be like now that the launch is out of the way.

It felt a bit odd seeing a duo present BB , but AJ & Will seem to work well together, and it comes naturally.

I think it makes sense to keep them on the late night spin off aswell.

My thoughts on the housemates

Dylan - I just can't help but smile when I see him ,his vibe and energy is cool . A nice guy

Yinrun - sweet and the way she hid behind the wall was fairly amusing and endearing lol

Trish - fun and bubbly party girl ,but she will keep people on their toes

Farida - warm towards everyone ,and friendly . And just a happy person all round.

Jenkin - He's a bit annoying , but I think he'll get more miserable as he keeps recieving all this punishment. Which is hard luck for him .

Olivia - Not a fan ,she comes across a bit bratty and spoilt.

Tom - All I remember is that he has a mullet perm , he seems ok . But hasn't left much of an impression .

Hallie - I have a feeling she's going to kick off and bring drama . But she's holding back.

Jordan - Reminds me of Will from Inbetweeners ,even down to his glamour looking mum. He seems a bit reserved at the moment.

Zac & Paul - both seem like typical jack the lad types and similar in personality . They will definitely be cheeky.

Noky- likable and confident , and will bring class

Matty- Eccentric and wild, I think he's literally just there to have a good time.

Henry - Boring and pompous , and he is without a doubt the most predictable housemate to enter.

Kerry - She seems genuine and lively, but she's a bit loud . And even though she means well, she'll definitely grate a little .

Chanelle- oops I forgot her ,so far she's just in the background. Her VT sounded a bit dizzy .

AJ is all about the look but she has precious little personality

The scenes before opening titles showing big brother around the country on Leicester Square and London eye etc etc was a brilliant brilliant thing

People have been saying this on twitter.

Is it just because she's tall?

I'm pretty sure she's a woman tbh.

IMO, she has quite ‘manly’ facial features and her voice too. I’d feel bad if I’m wrong but as soon as I seen her VT that was my first thought.

MTVN 09-10-2023 09:19 AM

Yeah I think her face looked a bit manly as well

Saying that though she'd be very young to have transitioned so thoroughly

bots 09-10-2023 09:31 AM

i didn't see an adams apple

Perfect voice. I'm loving everything about this new BB in 2023. I had a great time last night watching it. 👍

I thought Tom might be trans, very feminine features, Hallie too though

BBDodge 09-10-2023 11:05 AM

There wasn't a Nadia reveal. She was announced to viewers as Trans from the very start and she never revealed her background whilst in the House. Only Becky knew.

I'm sure Hallie will go through the series without the issue being a thing other than in tabloid papers and forums.

Yeah I’m unsure why I had it in my head that there was this big reveal when in fact there was literally not

Well maybe there will be a Cameron-like reveal when he came out to the housemates! Niamh may be right with Tom tbh. I would actually be quite surprised if there wasn’t a trans person this year
