I found how she behaved more objectionable because she got offended by being labelled gay.

She was labelled male.

No it isn't , and Farida never called her a man and has never misgendered her. She was just asking her questions,

Hallie herself talked about how she hasn't had the full surgery yet , so they all know what the situation is . And let's not pretend that every straight man would accept that . I know she says she isn't currently dating anyone, but even after the surgery... not everyone will be comfortable with it. And that's just facts.

That's why it's good that Hallie be open and honest with anyone she dates, but biology is still biology. But i will agree that there is some people who hate labels, and will happily date her as it wouldn't matter to them.

There was no reason for her to get so offended and throw Farida under the bus like that. And i still think most of the housemates are walking on eggshells with Hallie anyway... and they'll never ask her anything as fear of causing offence.

At the end of the day like Farida said .... it's a social experiment with people from different walks of life. And she wanted to know more about it.

Trish is saying it's to do with conditioning, but people have dating preferences. If a straight woman refused to date a trans man , does that make her transphobic? ... i think not.

Farida has been the most upfront and honest, and now she'll probably get evicted for it. Hallie claims to be an open book... but she's just gone and pulled an India Willoughby .. with her passive aggressive sneakiness.

I hate how sheep follow with the outraged "how date she" like Hallie is a baby being attacked. she's still young yes and still has life experiences to go through. But legally she's an adult .

And the housemates are full of BS , when we all know they will have done and said far worse things in their life. So they can get off their high horse... over a minor situation which is being blown out of proportion.

Transing the gay away IS conversion therapy.

Telling gay teens they're straight and in the wrong body IS conversion therapy.

Referring gay teens to Mermaids IS conversion therapy.

Stonewall telling lesbians they must sleep with men IS conversion therapy.

I think she's just a very young girl lacking in experience and is used to being around people who understand the norms of trans people's lives so I think she found it more jarring and less offensive which is why she wanted to talk it through. She never said anything bad about Farida, they really like each other!

tbh that's another interesting point , Hallie is still young and hasn't had much life or relationship experiences. It will be interesting to see how she behaves in 10 years time .

18 isn't a baby , but it's still young. And think how much the mind and maturity changes when getting older.

…this exactly, perfectly said…🩷…Farida would have probably not been sure how to approach the questions she had either so it blurted out a bit abruptly and clumsily…but that’s also understandable…and Hallie was a bit upset that she felt that she was being that of as a male is what I think…but the reactions and actions with both of them was what BB is about, really….having that opportunity to be able to have these discussions that for Farida, will hopefully widen and open her thoughts and for Hallie, it’s learning how to respond with understanding of good intentions and genuine interest etc…it was all good, I thought…

Yeah, I think interactions like this just lead to growth for both of them, there was no nastiness!

Just my opinion but I think the Mum has the main role to play in this particular case...

Suggesting it would be gay for a man to fancy her is calling her a man, implicitly at least.

I think she was more saying

If a man had sex with you and you have a cock and bollocks would that "make him a gay"?

and its a fair question although certainly not one I personally would ask a 18 year old child regardless if they were a trans person or not

Its interesting that Farida even thought asking an 18 year old about sex was appropriate and why she felt it was because Hallie happens to be trans?

I’d suggest that Halle is either lacking in awareness or she’s completely out of touch with reality.

I was tired when I watched it but I’m pretty sure she kept using the phrase “majority” in all her examples- saying things like ..

“The majority understand about transitioning “

“ the majority know and accept that I’m a female “

Etc etc

Great post. 18 year old generally think life is all about them, trans or not. I remember how sophisticated I was at 18, and how sophisticated I thought I was.

Hallie does look a lot older than 18 though imo so maybe people in there forget that

An adult being able to control her temper is something I'd expect from anyone.

Yeah in her vt before she said her age ,I legit thought she was around 29/30 .
