is Paul a devisive character

I was quite shocked when Paul recieved two nominations as for me he'd flown under the radar, but there seems to be a 'reformed man' act that may not be fully true..?

To me he seems quite ok so far but if you live with him it might be more obvious

He doesn't seem to interact very well with members of the opposite sex I wonder if there are issues underlying there and also he felt the need to bring up Farida's religion, albeit for positive rather than negative reasons but could of course be completely wrong

Redrose 15-10-2023 08:08 AM

Do you think Trish would have still voted for Paul if Olivia wasn't immune?

…yeah, for me he’s pretty much flown under the radar as well in that I hadn’t felt that I’d seen enough of him in the highlights to form an opinion…when there was live feed before in the early days, though…I often would think that highlight shows were so manipulated from actual events because in editing, so much is left out, obviously…so it could often be like watching a different storyline …?…and maybe the live feed watchers are seeing an awful lot more of Paul…

there's definitely a lot of the Paul story that we're not being shown, it doesn't seem to add up why he got as many nominations as he did. Perhaps BB is editing out his 'worst bits' keeping him in the show. Olivia recieving immunity was also rather suspect, especially given all she had to do was not finish last in the entertainment category. She went from up for eviction to immune in less than 24 hours :conf:

Trish has figured Olivia out, and can sense she's an attention seeker....ever since salmon gate . Trish's facial expression was so over it.

Also they exchanged words over the big wigs getting luxury food, I remember Trish defending that ...by saying they never had a choice in the food they got, as Olivia wanted the bottoms to get priority in the shopping list.

Olivia just put an opinion forward on the shopping list and was surprisingly polite while doing it. If someone takes offence at that, it's a bit harsh

I agree that Trish seems very aware of the situation but not fully on board with Olivia being an attention seeker.

To me she's certainly being painted in that way but to date for me she seems to have been reasonable and even polite in her exchanges, with the possible exception of her initial beef with Jenkin which did seem a little unreasonable to me as he had no choice

I think Olivia is more immature than attention seeking, although yeah the latter may be a consequence of the former

Paul is like a child’s paddling pool
Very basic, shallow and definitely lacking in depth

Kate! 15-10-2023 12:19 PM

Just watched a clip of Paul on the App, he's definitely a game player. He's talking about groups forming in the house, and swearing a lot. Really gone off him.

Stu 15-10-2023 12:25 PM

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but he's been digging a hole for himself on live feed apparently. I've not see it myself but here's some copypastes from Reddit:

Quote:

So, At the dining table Matty, Noky, Zak, Paul & a few others in the kitchen & dropping past. Matty was talking about his experiences being gay, really lovely stuff. Paul then pretty much rail roaded the conversation. Poor Matty ended up leaving after a bit of Paul's talk. Olivia also sat down to join in.

Paul started talking about white oppression. He actually said this quote "As a straight white man I feel oppressed in society". He also said he was oppressed by his mum because he didn't play football.

Olivia looked like she was trying really hard not to say the wrong thing as she joined in the conversation. Like really guarding her words... but she was still seeming to agree with Paul & chat along with him.

Paul also said that as a straight relationship is more taboo.
Quote:

Paul on the livestream just talked about ‘shagging girls’ with a dildo on. He said he loved having two d***s and ‘giving’ it to the girl in every way. This boy is actually vile. The way he talks about women makes me feel sick. He can’t stay.
Quote:

I mean for a Liverpool lad, he really doesn’t represent Liverpool. He’s one of those ladzzz that uses every slang word and emphasises his accent because his city is his personality.

Whilst he’s been trying to have the ‘deep conversations’ he just isn’t able to mask his knuckle dragger rhetoric. Finding out his Ding Dong is plastered all over the internet and he gay baits guys on Grindr wasn’t on my bingo card this week
Quote:

Don’t forget him saying last night that it’s harder to be straight than gay and calling for straight pride. Maybe BS like that is why he’s got such little airtime.
Quote:

has anyone seen the clip of him reiterating andrew tate kind of views? “men peak in their 30s whereas women peak in their 20s”

I was really starting to dislike him and all this just reinforces that.

Why are people surprised:joker: :bored:. i always knew he was an obnoxious rat . You can tell he treats women like pieces of meat, watch him be all over Olivia soon like a rash ... despite him already having a gf apparently.

He's letting it all out now how he really feels, i could always tell he was holding back when he first entered. And he's so boring and shallow with zero depth nor any intelligence, first impressions was his broad scouse accent and leaked nudes, seriously what a mess. And i would rather eat glass than look at his desperate nudes.

He sat there and listened to Noky & Dylan talk about their experiences with race, and how he could relate with his working class background. He's the type to say all sorts of offensive ... and then turn around and be like "just joking".

Jordan was spot on about him.

People are always mentioning Paul and Farida's religion but what about Henry who took all of the instant noodles from the store room leaving Farida with none? He gets away with selfish actions because he's posh and Paul is a working-class scouser.

Hopefully they actually show his true colours on the show

No I went off Henry for doing that tbh , but even from the beginning.... Jordan has always been the more likable out of them both.

And I've never liked Paul.

I'm not sure it's fair to equate those two events together..? Henry stealing a pot noodle isn't the same as someone possibly harbouring deep islamophobia

While I agree it doesn't reflect well on Henry but you could argue the same, if Henry hadn't played to the role of Tory boy, it might not seem quite as bad if Paul had took the pot noodle..or maybe not I don't know
