Why do you feel the need to give condolences to dead famous people?

Is it for the memories they have gave you?

smudgie 21-10-2023 09:28 PM

Aye, I suppose it is.

Oliver_W 21-10-2023 09:29 PM

Sure.

People get attached to celebrities and public figures.

I was devastated when Terry Pratchett died tbh, and my reaction when "David Died" wasn't that far off Tiffany's

I've only really missed Rik Mayell.

I'm dreading the day Suggs dies.

Respect for who they were and what they did.

We celebrated saville, the streets of Leeds were packed.

He was scum. Corbyn still has a chance to be other things.

UserSince2005 21-10-2023 09:55 PM

I worship the ground they walk one. But only when me drunk.

When someone famous has contributed significantly to your consciousness throughout your life it usually strikes a chord.

I didn't mourn Saville, i didn't mourn the passing of serial killers either.

I'm not even mourning Bobby Charlton, i'm respecting a life well lived

Mystic Mock 21-10-2023 10:52 PM

It's out of respect mainly.

And in Kentaro Miura, Chester Bennington, Michael Jackson, Kurt Cobain and Chris Cornell's cases, being legends in their respective fields and genres.

Redrose 27-10-2023 01:58 PM

Couldn't care less we all die in the end.
