Birmingham City are a joke club.

Seriously we're about to finally have a decent season under Eustace (or at least look organized) and our new board sack him for someone who couldn't even cut it as a Manager in the MLS.

And I know that some Blues fans were saying that Simon Jordan off TalkSport was being "anti-Birmingham" for also pointing out that the club was only hiring him for his name rather than him being a good Manager, because if the board wanted a good Manager they could've either stuck with Eustace, or hire Graham Potter (who we realistically could've got) but instead didn't do either.

I never thought that I would see Blues possibly in a worse situation than when we had Zola as Manager, but we've in two matches scored zero goals, conceded three, and with Southampton coming up on Saturday that number is going to go even higher.

We're in a really bad way already, our defending is at Conference level under Rooney too.

And tbf to Rooney I don't blame him for taking the job, I blame Wagner & Brady for hiring him without even caring if he was good enough for the job or not.

And half joking but also half being serious, do the Americans know how to do anything good these days?:joker:

I mean **** TV.

**** Video Games.

Lackluster variety in Movies.

**** and dysfunctional Politics.

**** Manchester United.

And now a Conference level Birmingham City team thanks to sacking a good Manager.

The only thing that I'm grateful to them for, is for putting the club in a more stable financial situation, and I'm including fixing the Stadium in with the stable finances.

I share your dismay Mock.

I was allowing myself to think Birmingham could have a much better season this time
Then chaos again.

A win last night would have had them 5th.

Instead it's heading to down to mid table.

I was so disappointed with last night's result.
Awful.

I think all your points are fully valid.

I just wonder Joey if we'll ever be a club that knows what it's doing? It feels like a waste of time supporting the club when the owners (whether it's BSHL or Wagner) sack people that are good at their job within the club?

I mean I have never seen a Football club go out of it's way to deliberately tank itself every season like I see with Blues, I feel sorry for the other fans and the credibility of the name Birmingham City being further and further trashed, and I controversially do feel sorry for Rooney for being given a job that is too big for him, but tbh the ownership and the players can both go and **** themselves as far as I'm concerned.

Britains 2nd biggest city...cant even hold up 3 teams.

London has however many..liverpool 2, manchester 2, both smaller but kicking the butts of the brummie in the successful city league.

You should be ashamed at being the only 1 of the 3 to take tour city's name as well.

It's embarrassing I agree.

Even if we by some miracle win today's match against Southampton, it still doesn't change the fact that we've massively underachieved over the years.

Although having said that, we'll probably be above Everton within the next couple of years, so at least we'll be above one of the big City teams.:joker:

Rangers aren't playing great at the moment, I think that you might have a chance.

And doesn't Edinburgh City play in League Two in Scotland?

Oh and with Birmingham City, we used to be called Small Heath Alliance, because we used to play at Muntz Street in Small Heath.

Mystic Mock 28-10-2023 05:43 PM

Rooney has seriously got to go.

He can't even draw a game, let alone win.

At this rate we're giving Sheffield Wed a 30% chance at beating us.

Crimson Dynamo 28-10-2023 05:51 PM

Me and the lad watched the whole game today and to be honest it was a stroll
for Southampton for most of the game. They are a well-organised team to be
fair and I know Rooney has injuries.

Still baffles me why he got the job, its like tiktokers now own the club and are
making the decisions as they sip Prime from the USA talking about we need
"more focus on the offense"

joeysteele 28-10-2023 05:55 PM

I agree wholeheartedly with you Mock.

They were doing so well until this change to Rooney.

Sadly it was only going to ever end one way yesterday, the better team won so I can't complain too much about the Referees unfortunately, because at least that would've been a sign that we were in the game, but like you've said yourself LT, it was a stroll.

I personally feel like if Eustace was still the Manager that we would've beat Hull at St Andrews, and I personally think that we draw away to Middlesbrough, but unfortunately it's guess work at this point.

Unfortunately our owners just wanted a big name, and you can't get too much bigger in Football than Wayne Rooney.

And I don't mean to sound anti-American (because I do actually like Americans in general) but business sense they are very good at making money, but at the moment some of the Americans wouldn't know what quality is if you slapped them up the face with it, hence why Wagner & Brady sacked Eustace for Rooney despite almost nobody agreeing with the decision.

I know that Eustace had his critics, but I don't think even they wanted Rooney.

And god I have got an image of Brady & Wagner doing TikToks with Wayne Rooney.

Just wait until he is replaced with Frank Lampard or Phil Heckingbottom.

I wouldn't trust these owners to pick a Manager if you paid me, they've shown their true colours to quote various BB Housemates over the years.

2 nil lead at home now gone!

joeysteele 04-11-2023 03:56 PM

I really cannot believe this.
Honestly, it's looking really worrying again!!!

Absolutely disgusting result LT imo.

People can talk about Ipswich's form all they want, but when you're 2-0 up at home against a newly promoted team, it should be a victory for the home team imo.

And I still stand that under Eustace that we would've beat Hull and drew with Middlesbrough.

Tbh there's big question marks on if Rooney will be able to even beat Sheffield Wed in a couple of games time when we can't seem to defend at a basic level.

Tbh Joey it's what the ownership deserves for sacking a good Manager.

It truly is LT.

Why we seem to always have incompetent owners is beyond me.

It's basically American BSHL, only this lot may be even more delusional.

I just don't understand why the players are also playing like they don't know how to defend on a basic level anymore.

It's not the fans fault that Eustace was sacked.

Mystic Mock 11-11-2023 07:48 AM

The nightmare begins in a few hours.

I don't think that I have ever been so pessimistic and just not even looking forward to watching a Blues game before.

I've seen some dark moments with Blues over the years, but it's the delusional way that the people working at the club are speaking which is really putting me on edge.

I want the club to do well obviously, but it isn't going to happen with these people, we've just got American BSHL in charge now.

bots 11-11-2023 03:33 PM

It's so awful Joey that I don't really respect anything about the club anymore.

Compared to the club that I grew up watching, what's been there for the last I wanna say 6 years has been horrifying for the most part, with the exceptions of Eustace, Monk, Jutkiewicz, and Adams that one season that gave out a bit of hope until he left.

Oh and Jude Bellingham displaying potential, but then we sold him because we were going to go into Administration if we didn't.

I just can't do it anymore, there's only so many times I can be patient with the club, but they're not even trying to do good.

Who for example sees that their rivals have hired Emery as Manager and thinks the way to flex back at said rival is to hire Wayne Rooney? Only this joke of a club would think like this and I've had enough of it.

I don't even expect Blues to be a good team, but I expect them to at least try, and they're clearly not trying.

I seriously hope that the owners leave sooner rather than later, and may the players and Rooney join them.

And no beating Sheffield Wednesday (if Rooney even does that) shouldn't be any credit given, they're a newly promoted team that has the fans and the owner hating each other, if Rooney can't get Blues to beat them then it just goes to show how awful Rooney is as a Manager.

It is the easiest fixture in Blues history, so if the likely result does happen, then Rooney deserves zero credit, as do the players as all they did was beat the weakest team in the League, wow!

Because I'm already getting ready for some people to say "Blues are back" if they scrape a win against Wednesday.

Mystic Mock 22-11-2023 04:45 AM

We're just a few days away from hopefully Rooney's first win as Blues boss.

I don't want Rooney to fail obviously, but he needs to start being more tactically sound if he wants to start getting results.
