The Rule Break

Was it really a rule break? She wasn’t influencing anyone and no names were mentioned.. :conf:

Benjamin 25-10-2023 10:15 PM

I love Yinrun, and jail yes as punishment. The voided noms was a bit much considering Hallie and Olivia just got jail.

I put it down to BB not wanting a Trish vs Hallie head to head.

Exactly.

I do agree…she just mentioned her confusion and weighing up her options on who to vote…so unless Henry can read her mind it was rather pathetic.
Last weeks rule breaks named someone and was obvious persuasion…

I just watched it ,and everything was ok until she asked Henry " which way shall I go " . I honestly think she might have gotten away with it otherwise .

But yeah she didn't name anyone, and BB's punishment wa still way too harsh .

PoppyC 26-10-2023 12:23 AM

That wasn't a rulebreak for me. No names or even hints. No influencing

BB was brutal with her unfairly , but like i said i think what did it was asking Henry "which way shall i go" .... it's like she was asking him what to do re:nominations, but niether of them mentioned names... so BB is ridiculous  .

BBUKAUSFAN 26-10-2023 04:23 AM

Wasnt really a rule break, but at least it gives us a chance to boot dylan out :D

XXAHFXX 26-10-2023 04:38 AM

She literally explained in great detail what her thinking was, knowing full well that Henry would understand her perfectly and the actual names would not have to have been used, not only that she did it in full view, right in the middle of nominations! She was damned lucky they didn’t show it on the big screen for all to see how that pure, little, scheming brain of hers ticks over.

Ammi 26-10-2023 07:17 AM

…I do think that Yinrun’s rule break merited her jail time but beyond that, there still feels no consistency with the punishment of Olivia and Hallie…to say that Zak was a game player while they were nominating, is aimed at a specific person so a possible indication of a nomination and giving a reason of him being a game player to Olivia…Yinrun, while still having the conversation during nominations, didn’t aim or infer toward any housemate, but she did still rulebreak in discussing her reasoning…those two things for me, although not the same exactly…are too similar to not have the same punishment…not having consistency with these things just leaves it open to have a feel of manipulation …mind you, Yinrun’s devastation at being thrown into jail and the uprising and campaign to free her etc…the voice of the people…?…etc…really is truly a best BB moment of any series, I think…

Yes but,
speaking of her confusion
Must have been the rule break

Did Olivia and Hallies rule break happen before or after they nominated?

bots 26-10-2023 08:19 AM

its very simple really, Olivia and Hallie were discussing noms but Yinrun was trying to influence directly prior to the nominations. Also, punishment is a deterrent to the house as a whole. So, they made it a harsher punishment to make sure nom talk is snuffed out. The next likely punishment is ejection or auto up for eviction

Same as Yinrun, during nominations.

…consistency snuffs out, though…it has to be one rule for all and BB set that punishment with the two ladies…to reconsider and change is unfair and open to thoughts of manipulation and targeting, even…

Ammi 26-10-2023 08:27 AM

…it’s good the legal action was taken and balance of punishments was restored…

The Rule Break

Maybe they should have considered that Yinrun is struggling with the English language so how she’s expected to understand the complexities of the BB rules regarding nominations is completely beyond me .

When you listen into conversations it’s clear that she’s still learning about our ways and culture .

I’d guess that she thought that everything was fine unless you mention actual names or you make it clear by a description .. ‘ that Welsh guy ‘ for example

Was she asking should she nominate in who she dislikes or how it would affect her friends chances of staying in the house ?
I suppose that was to do with Kerry ? As Kerry is a friend to the group and wouldn’t nominate them ?
I’m confused by what she was actually asking

Liam- 26-10-2023 09:41 AM

She was asking whether she should go with her heart or her head, I don’t think she was trying to influence or even really taking about it like Hallie and Olivia were, so the overreaction from BB is a bit baffling, but it gave us a buffer to try and save both Trish and Hallie and it gave us my favourite moment of the serious so far as a result so I’m not all that mad about it

That’s what I was thinking

If the majority of us are confused how on Earth would she know it was a rule break given she’s still learning our language and ways

After that BB said there would be more consequences if they did it again so I don't really see the issue, also it put up Dylan, so its likely Trish will be saved, in a head to head with Hallie, its anyones guess who would go
