Jordan autistic traits

I've thought for a while that he could be on the spectrum.
Very uncomfortable in social situation and a bit of a loner..
Thoughts?

Tbh I was wondering the same, wasn't Freddie BB10 also a bit autistic?.

Yeah I don't think Jordan knows how to deal with emotions and social settings , he come across cold and deadpan. We haven't seen him cry either have we ? .

Gusto Brunt 08-11-2023 07:39 AM

I've been thinking that for a long time. He's certainly the text book autistic.

That's who he reminds me of. Freddie. And I loved him as well. Greet housemate!
Yes I agree and I noticed he takes himself away when it gets too much.
I wish the others were more understand and respect his need for space.

Well Chanelle was blaming someone of casting Asperger’s onto people the other night

I am autistic and have also wondered if Jordan might be. His not speaking to Henry the other day all day and then the next day not speaking to Matty could have been because he needed space from them to try and sort his head and feelings out. In the real world he would simply have switched off his phone for a day and avoided seeing them and it wouldn't have been as noticeable. I often find it very hard to manage my thoughts and feelings and avoid people when I am stressed.

I think Jordan experiences inside emotions that don't readily transfer to his facial expressions making him seem quite aloof.

I'm not totally convinced that it autism per se, but his lack of understanding of how his actions can make others feel would certainly be a significant question mark as to whether he is on the spectrum.

Yes, something like that.

Are we really at this level of trying to find excuses for his bad behaviour and horrible treatment of people? :joker:

Vanessa 08-11-2023 11:04 AM

It's not an excuse, it's an observation. I've seen people talking about it on Facebook as well and it got me thinking.

Yea also showing one or 2 traits doesn't make you Autistic, people can't take criticism of him so have to make up things like he is disabled

If he IS on the spectrum then he has no choice how he reacts to situations

I haven’t attended any weddings/ parties/ christenings for decades.. it’s just not an option

I stay at home in my own little bubble

When I was very young I was identified as potentially a very good footballer ( spotted by an ex England player ) but as time went on and more is expected of you as a person I had to step away from football completely

I couldn’t socialise, join in at team meetings, couldn’t even travel to away games with my other teammates

That’s just one example

In my twenties when I’d learnt a few coping strategies - I started playing 5 a side or 7 a side

In one competition where I was having a particularly good day I was asked to play for one of the other teams and I ended up playing for 2 teams in the same day , same competition !

I think he may have a condition as his behaviour is erratic at times. I dont think he is a nasty person at all and he doesnt in my opinion deliberately ignore people to be nasty...he just likes his own space sometimes

Trying to force a diagnosis of something that has never even been discussed about him before just to take any accountability away from his for his very obviously nasty, spiteful behaviour is a new one for me I’ve got to be honest

Yes I agree. He's not a nasty person at all.

He’s unempathetic and selfish though
Not nice traits to have

Mich3LL3 08-11-2023 11:19 AM

I actually thought he was more of an introvert who made his quirky traits a personality.

I think he feels things, but he has trouble expressing it.
That's why I said he could be one he spectrum.
