‘I kissed a Tory and I liked it’/let’s talk about Jenry…

…I’ve just been thinking of Henry and Jordan and all of the thought that has been expressed many times through the series, of Jordan not having real and genuine feelings for Henry in any romantic way…?…and the whole triangle thing has added another layer of confusion…anyway, with the ‘I kissed a Tory’ comment from him and that being his first thought in that moment, very much aware of Henry’s Tory-ness even in the moment of being in his kiss…?…I was thinking…that maybe his romantic feelings for Henry are very real and genuine and come from his heart…but that doesn’t mean that his thoughts are very much also of winning a game show/it’s not an either or type thing…so he’s had to balance that up and think that there isn’t the greatest feeling from the public about those Tories atm and hasn’t been for a little while, so…..does he love kissing a Tory and has romantic feelings for that Tory…but he’s also aware of public perception and would that be damaging to any popularity and his hopes of winning also…/thoughts…?….

I like both Jordan and Henry but I only see Jordan as being a gameplayer. Henry is more genuine. Jordan hasn't played the game well either - Matty situation and the timing of the hot tub and kiss.

Henry to win!

…Jordan might be a game player because it obviously is a game and I would apply that to all, it’s more about the game they play, as they say…but none of them are just that, they all have genuine feelings and bonds as well, whether they be romantic or platonic etc…and I do understand the ‘timing’ thought…but I’m thinking that’s more alcohol related than calculated related…

…maybe the alcohol allows for those game more game play thoughts to fade in those moments…and then the sober mornings…and ‘head’ takes over again…?…

If he overlooked Henry simply because he is a Tory then that is incredibly sad. I don't fault Jordan playing the game if he is. I think both are enjoying whatever it is they have without putting any kind of label on it. That doesn't mean to me he is sincere, but that doesn't mean he is insincere if that makes sense. Some people will find that terribly convenient.

I think their feelings are genuine in that they are both young and in the infatuation stage. That's been obvious since nearly the beginning. Whether feelings go beyond that initial attraction we don't know because of the numerous incentives to form a showmance while in there for weeks on end with nothing else to do... plus it being the final week, Jordan has incentive now to place his bets.

To his credit, if he is concerned with how it will look and lead to hurt for either of them, if he survives that long to tell the tale, he only has a week for it to be in the public eye. So if its just infatuation, he can only make the week less boring... if it turns out something there is legitimate, they can explore it on the outside in about a week. I doubt he will win and I think Jordan knows that, but maybe he doesn't want to leave to a chorus of boos. Matty was gunning for him in the past week so he had incentive to couple up to keep Matty in check, as well.

I like Jordan, but can see the selfishness to a lot of his actions, the rather immature handling of other people's feelings. I think genuinely he has improved in that area in some respects as time has gone on, but still in others his behavior leads me to think he often does what is most convenient for him. He has admitted as much to those narcissistic traits, but at the same time he is not so far gone that he can't be shown the problematic results of some of his actions. The only time he really seemed to bristle at criticism was that one incident with Trish and Matty when he did made that one petty remark about him being confused.

I kinda thought Jordan was a Tory as well tbh, didn't he say something about how he admired Theresa May

…it wouldn’t be so much that Jordan overlooked Henry because he was a Tory, I mean he hasn’t, is the point…it’s more that he hasn’t lost sight of a potential to win also and being aware of public perception toward ‘a Tory’ also…I mean, being a Tory was part of Henry’s bio so that’s also something that BB…(…I think…) …have very much thought of in terms of….oh we’ll put in a ‘posh Tory’ and see how that works …in terms of potential clashes etc…I mean, that’s what they do, isn’t it…they put in the ‘controversial blends’….I mean, speculating public perceptions and who might win and be the popular ones etc, is something all/or many of the housemates do and have done for a very long time through past series…I’m probably overthinking…(…but then this is the last week so we can be frivolous and carefree with thoughts……)…but it was just something I thought… that in the heat of passion and in his kiss etc…that was something that he said, that he kissed a Tory….

Same. The Tory comment was random and surprising but maybe he is Independent. We know he likes having options

"Talking about former Prime Minister Theresa May, Jordan told Henry that he thought she was ‘morally sound,’ and that he would marry former Cabinet minister Nadine Dorries.

Henry quickly replied by saying his mum ‘did yoga with Nadine Dorries.’"

Quoted from the net.

(Sorry for doublepost)

I understood the meaning  and I think it is an astute observation. As much as Henry has mentioned it and the stigma surrounding it, he may think it is what is being aired. They have no way of knowing whether it is or isn't a nothingburger on the outside.

Allowing the public's feelings on Tories to make him overlook Henry, who is a gem, would be tragic.

….but would it be tragic, though…I mean, not losing track that it’s a game also is a part of all of them…and there would also be a mindset of losing track of that would also be tragic…?…I mean in terms of, Jordan could ‘have that win’ and also have Henry…/…after their time in the house, but focus on that win also to enable that…

…I’m really not sure of their feeling or his feelings toward Henry or how much/if any he might be trying to marry any of it up with trying to anticipate public perception with his own winning chances…?…I’m sure that I’m overthinking the comment…
