What was the point of this twist?

Like this could have been a good one had it been earlier in the season and two of the three housemates went back in.

Like face to face was fine, but then they removed them straightaway so any drama was culled. And by two of the three going means most of the drama of any has also gone.

I just don’t get why this twist happened.

They should have done it sooner. It seems a bit late for it?

MTVN 14-11-2023 01:08 PM

Maybe they just panicked a bit that it would be boring with people getting along too well but it is a bit unnecessary

I'd love to know how much has actually been planned this series and how much they've just made up as they went along

joeysteele 14-11-2023 01:25 PM

I think it was unnecessary.
It's kind of spoiled the final week really.
In fact the last few days.

…I’m not sure about the as they went along bit just because surely anything and everything significant would have to have been fairly planned and set going into the series…maybe a few small things could be more winged as they unfolded …but just smaller details…

entertainment.......................that's what producers would have been aiming for

'n straight away there was a moment...............when tom gave false info to jordan

100% Joey

It does seem very anti-climatic for the two that get sent home. Like, they've just spent over a month in the Big Brother house and their last three days are spent in a tiny box room with nothing to do but sit all day with headphones on just to be sent home anyway and not even get to go back and confront anyone that was talking about them :joker:

Jones 14-11-2023 02:53 PM

What if ITV forgot they had the spare room and only remembered it was there before the final week?

You are so right, Benjamin. Although, I would ask what was the point of these twists at this stage, and for such a limited amount of time?

Both twists were great, but sadly, we won’t be given a chance to see the drama that unfolds as a result because it is far too late and rushed.

Your comment has just made me think of the 5 ‘P’s we were taught to remember at work….. Poor Planning leads to P*ss Poor Performance!

True I'm sure they had all these ideas and tasks etc planned out before the series, just not quite sure about the execution of when they're doing them. Like last week they originally said it'd be F2F noms only to change their mind on the day, it's seemed a bit haphazard at times

GlitterUK 14-11-2023 04:46 PM

If it was earlier it could have been explosive with the right characters in it. I would also prefer if all 3 returned if it was sooner in the show. Losing two and only one returning they can say/do what they wish but having 3 return together has better inpact.

Bit pointless in the final week to do it.

BBDodge 14-11-2023 04:48 PM

Jordan will return. The showmance will resume. The end.

It would've been nice if they flipped the result to the people who weren't up. The problem with that is we may lose the best people that way this late. But people like Matty deserved to be up at some point having played such a big part in house drama. It's just a bit risky to do it now.

A 3-5 day Halloween event would've been the best time to do it. Force them to all nominate each other face-to-face for max whinge, put up half the house... then flip the result to the other half as the twist... kick the traitors to the evil room and let them haunt the people who they initially voted out... then send back in the others before that groups stand up for actual eviction to get their just deserts (gives them a chance to redeem themselves or show true colors)... that would kick up the drama and force some of them to get off the fence.

Yup…they should have done it when there was a divide.
