Does Olivia have Sophie/Dogface vibes?

Perhaps I am being oblivious (or maybe delusional). But does it feel like Olivia is giving Sophie Reade vibes in terms of the finale?

It seems to me like Olivia is the only "normal" and relatable one left; much like how Sophie was in Big Brother 10.

As with most seasons of UK Big Brother, the normal and most relatable ones tend to be picked off by the other housemates and do not make it to the finale.

We are now left with the boring/ odd and "deliberately obscure" characters. Yinrun and Noky are dull, and then you have the three posh alphabet boys, with Jordan being the only relevant one. Olivia is clearly the outlier.

So in that case, I think Olivia might be able to pull off a clear win on Friday

It annoys me that people can at a certain way throughout the whole series but are kind of ok for the last week and ends up winning. I hope this is not the case

BB-Germany 15-11-2023 08:31 AM

I think so too.

Henry and Jordan will pick each other's votes, plus people will not vote for the "rich" posh guys in the end.

Yinrun has lost support, Matty and Noky are too bland as you said.

I think Olivia has been a great house mate, and i will cheer if she wins

Jordan is neither rich or posh.
Only Henry is from privileged background.

StephenPullen 15-11-2023 08:44 AM

Jordan is posh my association I would say. His attitudes/ voice/ mannerisms are confusing.

GoldHeart 15-11-2023 08:55 AM

Matty isn't posh

He sounds it, but he's actually not.

Olivia has been a great housemate throughout and I think she's shown the most semblance of growth/self-reflection compared to others remaining. She entered as the bratty, entitled girl that everyone expected to be evicted as soon as her immunity expired. But she's shown herself to be someone who is willing to self reflect and hold herself accountable in instances that have rubbed people the wrong way. Trish mentioned several times that Olivia was the only one that she felt a sincere apology from. And we've seen on recent episodes especially the light-hearted energy and comedy that she's brought to the house, despite her closest friends being evicted. She openly acknowledged when she's misread someone or had the wrong perception of them. If anyone has had a "journey" in the house, to some degree, I think it's Olivia.

Vanessa 15-11-2023 09:12 AM

Sorry but I don't buy it with Olivia. She has been vile with her nasty gang until very recently. Now that they're all gone she's playing nice?
She's still the same mean girl. She has a funny side, but she's definitely not a nice person.

StephenPullen 15-11-2023 09:16 AM

Real people are sometimes vile. They fight and have opinions and can do vile things. I'd rather have someone win that has actually done something/ had moments in the house rather than have no story at all. Much like Helen.

It’s actually bizarre that so many can’t see past her womanly wiles ( and wiggles )

I’ve never seen such a ridiculous change in personality traits so you’d expect the other supposedly brighter housemates to be able to see through the facade - especially given they’ve only surfaced now the £100,000 is within her greasy-cafe grasp !

What sparked the whole "nasty gang" to begin with was the episode where Olivia was the one nominated by Trish/Noky. Keep in mind, prior to that, Olivia had never nominated Trish and she shared a bed with Noky. It shouldn't be surprising that she felt some type of way from that, and yet, I think she responded pretty calmly compared to Paul and Dylan. And yet after that, she was able to self reflect and grow from the situation and realize that she may have interpreted incorrectly. She may have "bitchy" tendencies, but my point is, I feel like she's demonstrated growth from that on multiple occasions.

But she's just not genuine at all. If he crew was still there she would still behave the way she did before. She only changed because she's alone now.

……yeah … everything you’ve said, Ryan…

Vanessa 15-11-2023 09:23 AM

I get mean girls vibes off her.

GlitterUK 15-11-2023 09:57 AM

If she did win it would be a massive turn around. Part of me would love it just for the reaction on the forums. A garden gremlin as a winner that would be funny.

Bronzo 15-11-2023 10:06 AM

Not at all, Sophie was inoffensive and a relatively quiet/small personality. Olivia is almost the complete opposite, she’s loud, brash and sometimes mean. Olivia is far too polarising/marmite to be compared to her

Also Sophie was guaranteed the win, her odds were massive favourite to win

define "normal". Without a definition your claim is without merit.
By conventionally accepted standards .olivia would struggle in "normal" company.

Your "boring/odd" and "deliberately obscure" and "posh alphabet boys" references suggest that you have a chip on your shoulder.

Zizu 15-11-2023 11:37 AM

Olivia hasn’t broke into a genuine smile
since her interview with AJ and Will when she was just entering the house

I’d love to see the breakdown of her voters

I’m guessing 95% are male under 30

“ clearly the outlier “

I presume you mean she’s the only devious , mean spirited, vindictive, potty mouthed , vulgar , fame and money oriented person left in there ?

Must admit I did get those vibes the last couple of shows. But she's only just started showing that side of her so I don't know how genuine it is

Abra 15-11-2023 02:33 PM

Sophie and Olivia are very different personalities though. From memory, Sophie was relatively timid compared to Olivia. I don't think Olivia will win (currently), but I can see her doing well in the final, probably better than a lot of people are expecting. Even if she is putting on her new persona, you have to quite admire that she's playing the game very well. She's managed to be the only surviving member of her friendship group AND position herself as trusted by the other group and a contender to win after being counted out the whole series.

Olivia was always the least problematic of the garden gang to me. Even though there were moments I didn't agree with, such as when she immediately blamed Trish and Noky for Paul being evicted and booed, there have also been moments of self-awareness and emotional intelligence from her throughout the series that was missing in the rest of that gang. Maybe it is part of her game, she's strong willed but also willing to admit when she is wrong.
