(Vote 7PM) Sunak PM Live Rwanda Statement 7th Dec : Legislation (Jenrick Resigns)

Downing St.
talking about his new plan
on illegal migrants

Ref:
[The Supreme Court rules against
the UK government's plan to send
asylum seekers to Rwanda,
saying it's unlawful
It's a major blow to the government's
immigration policy and
PM Rishi Sunak says he will now
consider "next steps"
The government had said the plan
would deter people crossing in
small boats across the Channel
Once in Rwanda,
people could claim asylum there, return home,
or seek asylum in a third country - but not the UK

But Lord Reed, president of the court,
said there was a "real risk" asylum seekers
could be sent from Rwanda to
the places they fled from
Since being announced in 2022,
the plan has been thwarted by
legal challenges but the top UK court
has now ruled against it.]

Leave Rwanda alone. Last thing we need is another nice Christian country to be overrun by Muslims.
Our these people stupid?

joeysteele 15-11-2023 12:48 PM

More likely deceit to be spouted from him coming then.

Maybe that's what we should do to.

He’s chatting absolute waffle, it wasn’t a foreign court that has stopped the illegal scheme, it was our British courts, he’s becoming increasingly more Trumpian every time he gets his ass handed to him

arista 15-11-2023 04:11 PM

Sure Liam
but he is warning EU Courts

He has a New Treaty for the British Courts,

joeysteele 15-11-2023 04:22 PM

He's dangerous.
He'll destroy any or much respect the UK holds around the World if he is allowed to get away with desperation policy making on the hoof, just to pacify the savage hard right and loonies of the Con party.

As much as I disagree with foreign courts interfering with anything, they weren't the barrier when it came to this particular plan, what's he yakking on about?

bots 15-11-2023 04:56 PM

i think the european courts were the source of a lot of the obstacles, but, yeah, it didn't affect today's ruling

The emergency legislation will apparently be a declaration that Rwanda is safe and it will be forced into law. That stops the supreme court in their tracks

Gusto Brunt 15-11-2023 05:21 PM

Sunak is a pretty weak PM but he needs to tell the Judges and lawyers to f off. Not literally of course.

But the country isn't run by the House of Commons. It's run by lawyers and Judges. They set the rules and of course they're always going to be on the side of the migrants because the migrants being here doesn't affect them.

Unlike the ex soldier now living on the street who has no right to hotel accomodation, the rich Judges and lawyers will always have a lovely bed to sleep in and nice food and booze to drink.

They make me sick. So selfish.

The far-right racists love the Indian lady.

I agree, it doesn't make sense.

Maybe your far-right monsters ain't that far-right and racist after all but rather more concerned with who is representing them in the place they call home where they are taxed to high Heaven? Because it seems that If anyone does, they seem to get immediately sacked
