Layton and Nikita: Paso Doble to Backstage Romance from Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Nigel and Katya: Charleston to Step In Time from Mary Poppins

i like Annabel, Ellie and Bobby's themes the most this week

although i can see him suiting Dick van Dyke's character quite nicely

Well I'm very much looking forward to Annabel's performance. Yes wicked has been done before with Frankie Bridge but not that song so that's good

I feel like Beauty and the beast has been done before but Ellie will make a fantastic Belle

Don't even get me started on dirty dancing yet again!!!!!!!

Think Nigel and Katya will make an incredible Bert and Mary!!!

As for Layton I have no knowledge of anything from Moulin rouge but I'm surprised it wasn't everyone's talking about Jamie the musical!

Nigel with a showstopper! It was about time. He's going to be amazing!

Don't think they're allowed to do musicals they've been in.
Same reason why Nigel isn't doing Guys and Dolls. He played the lead.

Dirty Dancing is fine


but only thing i would've liked more for his salsa is ''Chillin Like a Villain'' from Descendants 2


but i'm not a moaner about overused themes :laugh:

What a drab choice of songs on paper for the dances.

I think Strictly is losing its way actually.
Plus what Dave Arch is doing with a lot of the songs this series, is awful.

I'm still looking forward to it.

Yeah it is losing its way a bit. Notice how rubbish the Halloween outfits were for it compared to what they used to be like. So I'm not holding much hope for musicals week anyway

I can't stand the judges scores nowadays.

They've forgotten that you can score dances below an 8/10

at this point in the competition, there won't be anything below an 8/10 anymore

Bobby's take on DD will at least be authentic that he and dianne will have extra dancers, unlike Louis & Flavia or Ashley & Pasha or Natasha & Brendan, and btw those 3 had this theme in movie week


this is first time it is used in musicals week and yes DD is a musical too, not as popular as the movie but it is a musical


and DD as much of a musical like Saturday Night Fever (which Abbey & Aljaz had for their disco salsa in this particular week i remember correctly)




i luv dianne's post on insta like ''nobody puts bobby in a corner'' :cool: i luv their brother-sister partnership, he is the underdog but you never know in a unpredictable series as this one, and Bobby's hips we know can be FIRE (like in his samba and cha cha)


Swayze was very cool and stylish too as Johnny, i think Bobby can pull that off, how stylish he is himself, i mean he even can pull off looks a la rock god Mick Jagger and looking super sexy doing so



i myself liked Patrick Swayze :bawling: shame he is no longer among us because of that horrible illness (i also like his brother Don btw, in some series i see him in, he also has similar looks as Patrick)

I'll be voting for Nigel and Katya. Everyone said they would leave ages ago.
So I'm just happy to have them on musical week. If they make the semifinals good.
If not at least Nigel has reached the week he wanted to do the most.

I like Nigel and Katya is my favourite pro female.

The scores have been soft in general over the last few years imo.

Ellie won't be in trouble again whatsoever, she is landsliding this so far with 99% of the public votes all going to her


Annabel also not gonna be in trouble, people's champion, the one novice left



Nigel is a hunk so will get a portion of women voters i think
