Looking forward to this!!

The action scenes look decent.

It does have that drab filming technique to it though, that a lot of modern Space Operas seem to have adapted imo.

….oh…you’re a tough critic, our Mock…and that’s just the trailer so they better prepare themselves……

Admittedly I am very picky, as I've just been very pessimistic on the GTA thread too.

Tbf to this Film it could be good, it's hard to 100% tell off of a trailer, it's good to see something that's not a Superhero Movie that's being made.

And before anyone says Oppenheimer it's about the Atomic Bomb ffs, I'd probably get more entertainment out of rewatching Dune.:joker:

…I’m very much looking forward to your full review of Rebel Moon/A Child of Fire when you watch it, Mock……

…I didn’t dislike this but it didn’t leave me anticipating the next part of the trilogy, either…the storyline had everything in it to make it a good storyline but somehow, it didn’t quite reach what I felt it might..there were so many shades of other great movies…The Magnificent Seven, the original Star Wars, Golden Child, Guardians of the Galaxy and so many more that it could have and should have just oozed and dripped with nostalgia …but it just…well, didn’t…and I think because although it had those storylines threaded through, it didn’t have the heart of any of those movies or those characters…?…although the characters were all likeable enough or dislikable enough, depending which applied…I couldn’t quite connect with them, which I think is an essential for a trilogy especially…we have to invest in them emotionally and I didn’t….it all just lacked cohesion, I think the expression is….

I haven't watched it yet, but I am definitely going in with low expectations when I do go into it, going by how divisive the Film appears to be.

…Part 2 connected it all very nicely, I liked it - all in all, not a bad watch at all….

…I was thinking that it’s probably a good one to watch back to back …so smart move to wait, really…and happy viewing, I hope that you enjoy it…

…I was reading that Zak Snyder hopes to make 6 films in all so it’ll be a sixology if that happens…or a two part trilogy…

It's an interesting idea.

I haven't really seen anyone attempt past a trilogy of Films since Harry Potter.

Watched part one, cursing myself for not allowing time for both parts

I really liked it! Reminded me a bit of Ocean's Eleven, with the recruiting of the various colourful characters.

The characters were all fun, I liked the different environments and creatures, and the battle scenes didn't turn my brains to mush, as a lot of modern and especially Zack Snyder ones do :joker:

…yeah totally…the Magnificent Seven was one that I thought of as well but it definitely had that vibe of either and I liked that…plus with it being a series/as opposed to a one off movie…(…and without giving spoilers…)…part 2 was able to give some time to back stories, while still keeping the present story ticking along nicely…it’s so far been a good overall watch and well cast…….really glad that you liked the first part, Oliver…

Oh good call! The movie did have a Western edge, and could easily be rejiggered to fit such a film.
