Do you find you're getting shorter?
 

Well not shorter, but that young people are getting taller.

I'm about 5 feet 10, and back when I was 18 that was a reasonable height for a man.

Now 23 years on, I see young girls and women taller than me in the street. Something I never experienced when I was 18.

Today I was out shopping in the high street and most of the young girls and women aged 15 to about 23 were taller than me. I did feel quite short.

But that's happened down the decades. I remember going on a school trip to an old village and the top of the doorways were only about 5 feet 6. :shocked: :joker:

On a side note ..

We are all 1/2 an inch to 3/4 shorter at the end of each day as our spine gets kinda shorter / compressed as the day goes on .. you apparently wake up at your normal height of course .


Body height decreases throughout the day due to fluid loss from the intervertebral disk

Thats interesting.

I was always 5ft 9 but the last couple.of years I've been 5ft 8. Ish.

women almost certainly get shorter as they get older but that is a medical condition

I thought everybody did ..
