Anyone else feel a bit bad for George Michael's family around Christmas?

Not only do his family have Christmas itself tainted for them by losing him on Christmas Day, but they're reminded of him constantly in the runup and tailoff of it.

Being reminded of someone can be a nice thing too though.

…his dad is still alive so far as I know and I think, one of his sisters…?…but his other sister, who he was meant to have had a very close bond with also died on Christmas Day…three years after George died…so I would say, it’s most definitely a day of reflection for his sister and dad…I wonder if they generally spend it together ….

I just can’t imagine what they go through .

My best mate lost his wife and a year or two later his daughter around Christmas so he simply can’t celebrate like the rest of us ..

As to being constantly reminded.. we lost our beautiful dog last week and little thinkga remind me of him and set me off .. even the little park I walked him in every day .. so I can’t imagine what losing a loved one at Christmas is like at all

This.

After all he still has one of the most famous Christmas songs of all time, barring censorship (which I wouldn't support in the slightest) his Last Christmas song will always be played around this time of the year.
