Fool Me Once/Netflix - January 1st…

Niamh. 29-12-2023 08:18 AM

I read the book ages ago, I'll definitely give it a watch

Ammi 02-01-2024 07:00 AM

…I watched the first few episodes of this yesterday….I found it a bit slow at times but still an intriguing story and a good cast…

Ammi 03-01-2024 08:03 AM

…I binged watched the series and enjoyed it, a good New Year watch….

Strictly Jake 03-01-2024 05:55 PM

Yeah finished this last night. The ending felt a little unfinished with some of the side characters. But a couple of twists

Spoiler:

didn't expect the policeman's friend to have been a hallucination

Spoiler:

I thought Mya was pretending to be dead

But I loved it. And it's made me want to read more Harlen coban. If anyone can recommend any of his books please do. I'm a total bookworm since I joined the library last year I get through 4 books a week. :joker:

…yeah, I also would like to watch The Castaways/Sheridan Smith, GH…but I don’t think that it’s streaming on any of the channels/sites that I have….

I don't have any of those streaming services either , but I'll find it online somewhere to watch . Plus paramount has actually uploaded the first episode on YouTube for free , to get people interested . It's only the first episode, but I'll find another website to watch the whole thing.

It was a good show with an amazing cast tbh but damn was it confusing

…thank you for that……I’ll catch the first episode when I get the time, maybe after Traitors, though …and then hopefully I’ll find a way of watching the rest of the series as Sheridan is always a great watch…

……it’s funny because at the beginning, I felt it was a bit slow in places and maybe not as gripping as I’d hoped…but I ended up rewinding a few bits because I thought…excuse me, did I miss something….
Spoiler:

….that first time when Sami blacked out and drove into the fence was one that I had to rewind because it came from nowhere…

I won't spoil The castaways for you , but i was honestly underwhelmed . It kept me interested in parts... and i wanted to see what would happen in the end. But was cheesy and anti climatic .

just finished it, it was totally screwed up

Josy 12-01-2024 07:21 PM

This was good but not the best out of all his series' imo

Ammi 15-01-2024 08:20 AM

…I saw on Netflix, I think it was …that Safe, another Harlan Coben series was streaming so I might check that one out also…I wasn’t actually familiar with him until Fool Me Once…

Niamh. 17-01-2024 12:41 PM

Bit late to the party on this one, I'm on episode 4 now. I'm preoccupied by the fact that the Police guys shirts don't fit him, the buttons look like they're going to pop they're under so much pressure and the guy isn't even over weight, bad wardrobe people :nono:

…I’m the same…(…bit late to the party, not my buttons popping…)…but with Safe, another Harlan Coben story because I enjoyed Fooled Me Once and wasn’t familiar with any of his stories…I think that I’m on episode 5 so it’s all starting to come together a bit more now and I’m enjoying it…they’re good midweek mysteries….

Yeah I like him every now and again, his stories are always very twisty (although sometimes can border on ridiculous  ) but they're good for light watches when you don't think too hard about why they make no sense :p Good holiday books I find

rusticgal 18-01-2024 11:25 AM

On episode 4.... finding it hard to watch without laughing...and I just know its going to have a crappy end with so many unanswered questions..

…yeah, in Safe in particular there feels as though there are quite a lot of characters who have some significance in the story so it can feel a bit ‘messy’ until that’s all pulled together…and then once it does start to, it’s fairly quick after that and it all makes sense…but there are many, many threads …I can see why they have to be series’ rather than movies…it might be about a 7 hour movie to fit it all in…….
