Stay in the shade and use aftersun. It will get better.

When our son got bad sunburn in Greece a few years ago we took him to the local doctor who told us to buy some tomatoes then slice them in half and rub them all over the burnt area .. worked fabulously well .
He still charged us €30 though :)

Of course .. it’s what the Greeks do and they get far more sunshine / sunburn than we do

We still use this method to this day

Putting tomatoes in slice on a burn after first rinsing it with cool water can also be good in the healing process. Tomatoes have naturally occurring lycopene, which helps to alleviate the pain of burns, decreases inflammation, stops blistering, and speeds up the healing process.
