King has a prostate condition and princess of wales had an operation yesterday. She is likely to be in hospital for 2 weeks. So not a minor procedure

Reports are that the King has a benign enlarged prostrate and Kate's condition isn't anything to do with cancer, which the public were getting worried about.

As do I. In lighter royalist news, they recently released a regal portrait of the King in his naval uniform, to be hung in all government buildings

He looks smart.

Prayers and blessings for Princess of Wales (and obviously Charles when he undergoes). Hope she heals quickly and with zero complications. I'm sure she is being well accommodated and will have a lot to say about it once out.

Prayers up for this struggling father

Meanwhile, we're spending £8million a day housing, feeding and giving pocket money to people who've entered the country illegally while British people of all colours and creeds are living on the street. I have no issue with the three quarters of a million migrants who came here last year through legal routes.

There have always been pictures of the monarch in public buildings I don't know why having one of Charles is suddenly such an issue. And local authorities can order a portrait for free.

They must be free to make and frame then aye Liv

Such a relief to hear Kate was safely removed.

…I guess also that a much more ‘slimmed down’ monarchy possibly bring these types of things much more to media/public attention…it may have been in days gone by that there were periodically medical procedures and hospital stays that the public had no awareness of because any scheduled official duties were covered by others on active royal duty as it were and it all sailed through without any statements being made…but atm, as is the way of many things…they’re a bit short staffed….

rusticgal 18-01-2024 04:42 PM

I hope Harry and Megs sent some flowers to our lovely Kate....
