Do We Want the Eurovision Song Contest Cancelled for good?

poll incoming

no need for such shows right now in times of war i think

Nicky91 27-01-2024 12:58 PM

and UK can't win anymore, so waste of precious money

Gusto Brunt 27-01-2024 01:02 PM

I haven't watched it for about 25 years.

I find the thing too long, particularly the voting which is always political.

You'd swear that no other country has ever sent any weird entries before [emoji23] the song is shite though (what's new from us though in recent years?)

Mystic Mock 27-01-2024 09:01 PM

We need the UK picking horrendous songs most years, just for the UK public to then complain when said **** entry does bad.

And we need Germany to finish in the bottom two every year even when their entry was really good (like last year's German entry) it's just the order of things.

Cancelling Eurovision ruins these two things that unites society when they inevitably happen.

Yep me too. Don’t know who that person is or what their song is but they’ll be more memorable than whoever represented them last year

on my longlist also is Michael Patrick Kelly, Patricia Kelly

and also former boybander Alan FitzSimons (whom i feel like could a Belgium 2023 Gustaph alike entry)

only winner i predicted correctly was 2011 Azerbaijan Running Scared, only magic moment for me in this contest
