Paris: Eco Protesters attack the Mona Lisa with soup

https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/01...6439113867.jpg

[Eco-morons have today thrown
soup over the Mona Lisa at the Louvre
in Paris in their latest infuriating climate stunt.
Two eco-clowns threw cans of what
appeared to be tomato soup this morning at
the bulletproof glass protecting
Leonard da Vinci's famous painting.

The duo then clamber under the barrier
after hurling the red and orange liquid
and stand in front of the splattered artwork
as museum staff rush into view carrying
protective screens.]

[Riposte Alimentaire claimed responsibility
for the attack, which happened at
about 10am,
and identified the activists as
24-year-old Sasha and Marie-Juliette, 63.]

I feel like this has already happened before

But yeah… idiots

If you wanna protest over the climate change, go for it but don’t involve historical art that millions of ppl pay to see

UserSince2005 28-01-2024 11:18 AM

I’d have fed her cake not soup.

rusticgal 28-01-2024 11:18 AM

Why do I look at these people and they look like complete morons with nothing better to do....

Zizu 28-01-2024 11:33 AM

I presumed all the important paintings had a protective covering of some sort nowadays

They do yeah which is why these protests are so dumb, it's just a case of wiping it off the screen in a couple of minutes

Also why do they have such beef with art? If they had any sense they'd appreciate the ability of art to shape opinions and cultures which could help their cause if they properly harnessed it

parmnion 28-01-2024 07:01 PM

I dont think this was eco.

That's true

They then stand in front of the painting, saying: "What is more important? Art or the right to healthy and sustainable food?
They say as they waste a can of perfectly good soup

Mystic Mock 28-01-2024 08:53 PM

And Art is more important obviously.

Food and Water only help keep you fit and healthy, Art is majestic, magnifique, brilliant and terrific.

Food and water can also make you obese.

Water is not making anyone obese. It's also the most valuable commodity in the world.

It can of course make you obese, depending on the food, but that wasn't Mock's point. You need water, and food, good wholesome food, to keep you fit and healthy.

Im not with these protesters. But i do question how governments have billions for wars, sometimes wars that don't really concern them, yet they can't feed the poor in their own countries.

Didn't we just send Ukraine £2.5B for their war, yet when watching telly i see ads for Ukrainian kids charities asking for money because they can't afford to eat.

I was merely giving out a warning regarding mocks false representation of food.

Dont war me up.:nono:

It depends on how much food you're eating, and what you're eating.

Exactly Swan.

I mean if we look at the UK, our Government barely does anything to help out the homeless who are struggling for a healthy lifestyle, let alone people in other countries.

A Big Mac with a Triple Cheeseburger is extremely good for you.

It's the pesky Carrots, Sweetcorn, Apples and Tomatoes that are bad for you.:hehe:

bitontheslide 29-01-2024 07:32 AM

does anyone actually trust/believe that museums display the originals? It would be unthinkable in the past for items to be fake, but not anymore

Niamh. 29-01-2024 07:40 AM

Is that not fraud though, charging people to view fakes pretending they're originals?

Possibly but I watched a program in which super rich people have rings/bracelets/necklaces worth millions and they get an exact copy made
They wear the copy and keep the real one in a bank vault or security deposit box.
