I've been watching some Elvis clips today.

Just realized I don't know a lot of the songs!
I need to get my greatest hits out
Do you like Elvis? Which are your favorite songs?

I don't know that song, but will give it a listen.
I really wish I could have gone to one of his concerts. He was so amazing!
But I did love the Elvis movie. Not the same, but the closets I'll ever get.

I love his later stuff the most. But early Elvis was still brilliant.

I think there are live concerts on YouTube

Plus a new virtual concert as well from what I recall

Because that era of music (the birth of rock n roll) was my dad's era of music, my earliest memories of listening to music were from the era with Elvis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Fats Domino and Little Richard.

They were the LP's that were played in my house as a child. I grew up on that era.

My mother was into mowtown, so that music was also a part of my early life.

My sister was 5 year's older than me and her idol was Madonna. So I also grew up on 80s Madonna.

My era for music was late eighties/early nineties and I was into The Happy Mondays. The Stone Roses. The Pixies and Nirvana. They were the bands of my time.

I eventually matured into being more a fan of The Beatles and Rolling Stones. I don't think it gets better than those.

As a young kid, this was my favourite Elvis song. Maybe not my favourite anymore (although still a great song) but it was back then.

My favourite Elvis songs of many I like a lot of him.

Suspicious Minds.
I just Can't Help Believing.
In The Ghetto.
I've Got A Thing About You Baby
Can't Help Falling In Love With You.

Incredible star was Elvis.

Alf 14-02-2024 10:09 PM

You can't pick a top 10 Elvis songs list and not have "Burning love" in there.

Alf 14-02-2024 10:14 PM

This one is definitely one of my favourite Elvis songs.

Alf 14-02-2024 10:22 PM

Love this slow song and it makes his voice shine through.

It's why the likes of Mick Jagger, Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson are a league below him when it comes to front men.

It's also an appropriate song for St Valentines day

Yes some great Videos of Elvis with his
Top Musician Band, a great color look of Elvis
working very well with his band.

But
real sad in 1977
he died with a burger in his hand
on his own bog.
So Fat he was eating on his toilet

In The Ghetto is a song like a magnet to me.
I agree Kazanne one of his best.
It just commands attention.

…just going off topic and diverting to the ‘King of Pop’, Michael Jackson because I know that you Vanessa and Kaz are both huge fans….Jaafar Jackson, Jermaine’s son is physically incredibly transformed into his Uncle Michael for his casting in the bio ….

I thought Elvis was bloody awful, and my opinion has not changed since he died
