[The new names of London's six
Overground lines have been revealed,
significantly changing the look of the
famous Tube map.
Last August, Transport for London (TfL) announced
it wanted to give the routes distinct identities
to make it easier for passengers to
navigate the network.
The services will become known as the
Lioness line,
the Mildmay line,
the Windrush line,
the Weaver line,
the Suffragette line and the
Liberty line.

Each will also have its own colour.

The six lines on the Overground are
currently only marked with one colour,
which is fondly nicknamed by some as
the Ginger line.]

Where’s the LGBT line?
This is a disgrace.

it will no doubt cost million in new signage etc just what TFL needs

Tbh I think it makes the map look even more confusing. It’s a waste of money.

He should have put it out to Londoners to decide whether (a) this was needed and (b) what the names would be if it were decided that this was necessary

Sufferegette line too is a laugh. They have to go back to the early 20th century to represent you women because the current crop are a disgrace.

…it would have been cool to have had the re-names as something something more fun…iconic British comedy series would have produced some great names …The Only Fools and Horses Line, The BlackAdder Line, The Office Line…?…The Open All Hours Line…The Last of the Summer Wine Line…The Ever Decreasing Circle Line….The Ab Fab Line….

Or comedians .... The two ronnies, Morecambe and Wise, Benny Hill, Victoria Wood etc

The country has lost it's sense of humour

The cocaine line would be more apt for London or the Stabbing or Rape line

…British music icons would have also been cool…obviously each of the Spice girls could have had their own Scary Line, Baby Line, Posh Line etc….and The Amy Winehouse Line or the Amy Linehouse, The Freddie Mercury Line, The Elton John Line, The Kate Bush Line….The David Bowie Line….

This is not good enough!
We need an LGBT line
It needs to be rainbow colour
The carriages need to be glittered the **** out
And gays should ride free.

I don’t really see what was wrong with the original names? The North London line, the East London line etc. Those names seemed more appropriate?

I swear he is doing this for votes, the timing is very strange given TFL financially have had several bail outs...Londoners should have been given a vote on whether or not they wasted money on this after all they will be paying through higher ticket prices
