Dead now
Died in Hospital.

Just watched the video.

Completely insane.

The truth is, nobody involved in the conflict gives a t*** about his life or what he was standing for.

He died for nothing.

An utter tragedy for his family, though.

If you've seen the video, no one would want to live after that.

arista 26-02-2024 04:13 PM

He live-streamed it.

I was in Washington DC when someone did this outside the supreme court in 2022, pretty common thing to happen. Can't remember why he did it.

He must be mentally unstable and if it was not "gaza" it would have been something else

Bang on. It's also the most painful death anyone could endure.

….horrific, I don’t know about siblings but I know that he has living parents…I can’t imagine to see your child do that…and what this morning is different because his life is horrifically lost…?….nothing, nothing at all…I read that he was a devout Christian, as are his parents…why would his God have wanted that for him, to end the life he was given…just beyond words….

bots 27-02-2024 07:22 AM

nobody of sound mind deliberately sets themselves on fire

Ammi 27-02-2024 07:24 AM

…as horrific as it is, at least he did that and didn’t get a shotgun/weapon and take many other lives with him…

I was thinking that .. it’s possibly the worst way to die I would imagine .

I don’t know any of the details and initially I wondered if it was just a veiled threat that went wrong ??

Many don’t know that it’s the fumes that ignite ..

Just a thought

More courage and conviction that most western leaders and politicians, it’s a shame he felt that was his only way out

At 25 he was basically a 'kid'. He threw away his life for nothing. He had potentially 60 years ahead of him.

I agree, the most likely scenario here is that he was suicidal full stop and made the decision that he wanted to "go out with a bang", so to speak... and very often when that happens, it's a literal bang, i.e. guns or explosives and harming others in the process.

Characterising suicide as taking courage and conviction is a really bizarre take but not the first time I've seen this in recent years, which is a bit concerning.
