I’m with Dr Pam on this one [emoji4]

I’ve been using 5 hour eating window ( 5pm till 10pm for around ten years

Feel great , rarely get poorly ( only Covid in the last decade ) lost weight and maintained it

My migraines ceased less than a week after I initially started intermittent fasting which is a miracle in itself .

:::

Dr Pam Taub, a cardiologist at UC San Diego Health, told Sky News' US partner NBC News: "It's a retrospective study looking at two days' worth of data, and drawing some very big conclusions from a very limited snapshot into a person's lifestyle habits."

She added her patients have seen "incredible benefits" from fasting regimens, before concluding: "I would continue doing it. For people that do intermittent fasting, their individual results speak for themselves.

"Most people that do intermittent fasting, the reason they continue it is they see a decrease in their weight. They see a decrease in blood pressure. They see an improvement in their LDL cholesterol."

did you not have covid for like the full 2 years of the plandemic?

Study is flawed and assumes cause from correlation - I don't understand how they've immediately drawn this conclusion without controlling for other factors (e.g. WHY these people tried intermittent fasting, was it because they were prone to weight issues, etc.)

Anyway. Overall nothing wrong with intermittent fasting but it really needs to be with a lower carb/sugar diet or you risk spiking your blood sugars.

I've tried fasting but i can't handle it, puts me in such an irritable mood and makes me feel like crap. I eat 3 times a day, always a huge protein packed breakfast, light ish lunch, the a fairly big dinner. Some days i eat healthier than others. I always like to have a 6-pack over the summer months so this is around the time i started being a lot more sensible with food. Avoiding the crisps aisle, especially Pringles, can be a struggle.

I'm not religious but even so I have never wanted to starve myself.

I don't eat much anyway, but I'd never go without grub.

I'm not surprised it would have a bad effect on the health.

I try to eat at regular times. That's what works best for me. I'd never starve myself, but also don't overeat.

Na … couple of weeks each time ( twice )

I was in education for the Covid years … one of the poor beggars who had to work all through that scary/dangerous period whilst the vast majority were dossing at home on full pay !!

To be fair intermittent fasting is nothing to do with starving .. after three days you don’t need or miss breakfast … after another three days you can skip lunch/dinnertime as well.

It’s just educating your brain/body .

Bear Grills has that survival rule of 3 … you can survive 3 days without water and 3 weeks without food …

Today’s breaking news

Interesting ‘take’ on that last article ..

The well respected Dr Michael Mosley is still of the firm opinion that intermittent fasting is good for you !!

Dr Michael Mosley
(I watched his interview on GMBHD itv, the other week)
