Why are British Womem No longer having Babies : LBC debate 4PM - 7PM
Ali Mirage
A real DJ. Not on this show though. Will be Asking why British woman no longer want the aggro of giving birth? Many zones in the USA are also the same way |
I guess it's easier to let the migrants illegally enter the Uk and have loads of kids who'll then be on benefits and the best social housing given to them.
It's a lot of hassle for British women to have babies and bring up children I hear. British women will be at the back of a social housing queue. And we all know children need to be brought up in a safe home environment, |
I made that choice a whole ago. Probably the best thing I've ever done.

Before having children the parents should have a stable home to bring them up in . |
.
My daughter decided a while ago not to have children, she is the main breadwinner and just going through the process of getting on the property ladder. As she says, she spends most of her time with kids with SEN so she feels quite fulfilled. |
Have you seen UK men?:hehe:
But being serious, I would imagine that with the way that current society works, we're not having enough men and women actually socializing with each other enough to have kids with each other. Then are people such as myself, who don't really like talking to strangers in public, which again stops the opportunity/possibility of any children coming from it. |
It's been a constant discussion in ky family lately..
Would you try and start a family nowadays. We may all be grinches, but the resounding answer was no. Due to the news.. |

And people need to be having kids, or the economy will collapse. So yeah in theory I agree best for people to be stable before having kids, but for that to work, we need a society that works better. I am slightly biased as I was a young dad and we weren't properly financially secure until my eldest was about 9 . |
I'm very glad I don't make major decisions with my life, how I decipher the world or myself based on the trends and inclinations of the "general society". I've been very happy with my life. That's about all I can say to the larger equation.
Whether one's own picture includes a child or not is up to the individual because there are some people who should never have kids, for any number of reasons. For me, it was the right call. And I'm a growing everyday as a person because of that blessing. I'll just add we can always justify avoiding paths that take us into the unknown and people tend to cling to whats known. It's predictably produced a generation of unhappy people who have scrambled the first half of their lives to collect goalposts and find out in the end, not only are they not even happy, but they feel they have nothing to show for it. Children can be one of those things we avoid, but it can also be something people rush into, and I find most things come easiest when it's neither... ymmv |

I am glad you are happy. But there is a terrible No Baby attitude in both our great nations. It has already happened in South Korea They are now having to build their own Robots for the old folks. In China even worse they will pay you to have a child. So that Live Debate will be had on TV. All I want is young women to be honest........................ |

Yes, this is a Worldwide problem |
…this is one of my rant topics because we’re constantly being given data and facts and statistics about such things …world’s population has fallen for the first time since the Black Death…/…babies aren’t being born, did y’all know that…?…well, yeah…there’s probably a bit of a link there somewhere…obviously there won’t be a one size fits all…and obviously for some, the size that fits will be a simple, that being a parent is not the chosen thing… being a full time parent is such a rarity in current times and no option of being anything other than a working parent…maybe for some, part time working might be an option but I don’t know how many that would apply to…when planning for future with these things, paying off student loans is something that has to be factored in as well for many…which can delay having children…and childcare costs are just…a lot, with the government funding being very lean and mean on their contribution…so even just recently, it’s now costing a parent/parents on average another 15-20% in childcare as that cost has increased and not covered by the government…..obviously it’s not just the rising cost of childcare itself….theres also the high energy utility costs and mortgage rates and cost of living with food and other essentials etc …babies are expensive little things to keep going…and then it’s asked …why no babies, huh…?…oh, hush down, why don’t you….
|
[this is one of my rant topics]
No this is nations like South Korea going the wrong way. And now China. No one thought the UK and USA would follow them |
…no one thought the UK would have such a dire government whose main concern is setting up their own children’s trust funds and focusing on their own ample lifestyle…don’t South Korea and China me, Arista…if we want to study ‘the wrong way’ then look closer to home …
|
…what would be interesting as well is to look at ‘the other end’ and the older generation who have had their babies, as it were…and is there a significant rise in hmmmm, ‘legacies being given while living’…so that adult children can get onto the housing ladder and in time, start a family if that’s their wish ….because back in the day, that wasn’t really something that happened but now…?…we’re hearing about it more and more often…that parents are implementing ‘living wills’ to be able to see their children progress in their lives../…financially …I don’t know if that is the case but it would be interesting to look at other statistics and data etc that could possibly give a correlation and good reasoning…
|
Putting all the economic reasons to the side, the instability currently around the world, with a very real prospect of all out war in europe doesn't really encourage folk to think about starting families
|
…and also COVID will possibly have an impact going forward…?…in that realisation that a world can change in an instant…something that was never considered so much before…and many women having to go through complicated births alone, without the family support we’ve always known…?…and again, financial reasons of many struggling with incomes during that time is fresh in the memory …
